It uses LTPS LCD not TFT but LTPS LCD is inferior to Standard LCD. You are absolutely right to expect at least standard LCD on a phone in this price tag. They probably though people won't understand LTPS is inferior and cost less to make than standard IPS display. Either way, people should get standard LCD for this price.
