​@@NazgulStigI owned the Reno 8 Lite 5G for a good few years. It absolutely wasn't worth the "upgrade" from my Galaxy A33. Currently using a Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G though which is about 100x better

Great review, I would have liked to hear what phone you would have recommended since numerous times you said for the same price / category other competitors are using leading grade silicon and faster chargers.... but you didn't mention who? This is why I watched reviews, not only to find out if a product is good but if I can get better for my money elsewhere I'd like to know and would like to be pointed in the right direction.

got mine just today(Oppo Reno12 Pro) i live in France, and it frustrates me a lot to not have a charger or a case in the box, I bought it for 440 euros, the phone has everything except the chipset, in my opinion, they blew it in that area, I don't care about games(I will use mine mainly for social media, my whole library of music, and books) but still, a Mediatek 8200 would have been a perfect fit, the one with 9200 the China version is too expensive it cost 590 euros + 40 euros of shipping fees.

@@KING-rz7ix No i don't buy old phones, i found the S23 on some websites at 450 not new in a refurbished form, but in my experience, they take your credit card number and make you subscribe to services you didn't ask for, my bet was buying a new built phone, 3 were in the list Edge 50 Pro, POCO F6 and OPPO Reno12 Pro, the Motorola was above 500 euros, the POCO was insane but poorly built, and the Oppo for my use "no games a lot of files to read(books and music)" and social media had every aspect I wanted checking, I don't care about AI also the S23 is a great phone but it has a small screen(+ poor storage space, no fast charging), for reading and put a huge library of files it's not it, It a good objection I had that inner debate with myself, pulled the gun on the Oppo, my disappointment was the charger in the box, I couldn't know because all the unboxing videos I saw were from indians, and it came(the global version) only in that country with a charger, the whole will cost 470 euros it is still a good deal.

@@Has7DCT i didn't know i wouldn't find a charger nor a case in the box, all the unboxing videos I saw on YT didn't mention that the charger was only a thing in India, for me if I had the phone at 440 euros with a case and a charger, it was overall a better value, than the Chinese version, the latter would have cost me 580 euros total, having at the end to buy the charger and a case at 50 euros, makes the whole thing nearly 500 euros(also the original charger Supervooc 80W are at least 41 euros if you can find it, they're pretty rare), that why I am mad about it, couldn't know, also the Honor 200 Pro when I was consulting prices, was at 650 euros, when I got my phone, it lowered at 550 euros, never seen a drop in price like that, Honor 200 Pro at 550 euros if a far better phone and a better value than the one I got, also I was tight on money, but even then, I could squeeze myself to get it, a weird chain of events, I try to not think about it, it is just a phone after all.

Oppo really has lost the plot. The Oppo Reno 8 pro I had FELT like a top of the range phone, it was metal and glass on all sides. It had a decent chipset that did not struggle with daily tasks and was actually good in the games I played. More importantly it was cheaper than the equivalent opponent like the Samsung s23 or the Vivo v20 back then. nah Oppo has lost what made them good. They sacrificed in the things that did not matter too much back then like a camera without OIS, now they are doing the exact opposite and making the phone feel cheap while putting stupid things forward like "AI" marketing nonsense instead of improving on what made them stand out against the competition.

I've had the Oppo Reno 4Pro 5G for the last 4 years. It's still running smooth and the tech on that, mainly cameras, were way better than the ones after that...until the 12Pro. I've ordered the 12Pro now and I know it will not disappoint. I have a Honor phone too, but the Honor UI leaves a lot to be desired!

@@blackwoman5922 I would personally prefer the Oppo Reno 12 Pro. The OnePlus Nord 4 has a slightly better screen, while the processors and GPU are similar I think and will depend on personal preference... specially since both are only midrange phones. The Oppo has an additional telephoto lens and also, a better selfie camera; wide and ultrawide lenses are similar in both.

@@blackwoman5922 I would go for the Oppo Reno 12Pro. 50MP wide and telephoto and an 8MP camera like the Nord 4; also 50MP selfie camera with f/2.0 vs f/2.4 in Nord 4. The battery is slightly larger in Nord 4 by 500mAh

The Oppo reno 11 had a zoom carmera while this reno 12 doesn't thats kinda stupid tho they should have retained that at least but overall these phones are more of a downgrade than the Reno 11 series
