I was a religious person. My husband a Jew. Yes, I understand that Jesus is the light of the world. I follow closely to Him for He is who He says He is. He is not alone. He speaks with authority. I follow Jesus Not religion. I have a secure future because of Jesus. He leads me to the Father. By grace I am saved.

Pastor Guzik is such a gifted teacher. These portions of scripture are presented in the best “light!” Yes! I saw The Chosen, season 4, Episodes 4-5. A huge focus was on the Religious leaders, Sadducees, and Pharisees. So we don’t have to wait to see these scenes replayed in heaven-it’s in digital in The Chosen now! Hologram is close! I think the writers must have heard this teaching! And yes I agree Saul of Taurus had to be around in these “scenes.” The faces were as you imagined here!

When you said they don’t see the light because they’re spiritually blind, it reminded me of these scriptures in John chapter 1 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Dear Pastor Guzik--you are a fantastic teacher and I intend to view more of your videos. However, I strongly disagree that Jesus had to "discover" so to speak that He was the Messiah and Son of God. In his divine nature, He was never separated from God and had perfect knowledge. Yes, as a human, He had to learn things, but in his divine nature, He fully grasped everything. The French school of theology of the 17th century taught that Jesus was redeeming even from his mother's womb--He saw in advance all that He would undergo in his Passion, even as an infant!

Thank you for your kind words and support! You could be right - as Christ is fully man and fully God, it's perhaps a matter of either metaphysics, semantics, or Christian liberty - but outside of who can make the most convincing argument, we may never know for sure until the day we are together with Him in heaven! Thank you again and God bless.

Thank you, I appreciate your humble response. Yes, we can never fully comprehend the mysteries of our faith in this life. We can understand a little, such as the Incarnation, but there is a whole ocean yet to learn. That’s why heaven will never be boring! But I was thinking about this last topic last evening and considered this-if Jesus had infinite knowledge in his divine nature (not his human nature, obviously), then He would have been thinking of me in the manger-yes, He was thinking of you and each of us individually. Could this be true? I wondered…then I read this today from Mystici Corporis Christi, the encyclical of Pope Pius XII: “The knowledge and love of our Divine Redeemer, of which we were the object from the first moment of His Incarnation, exceed all that the human intellect can hope to grasp. For hardly was He conceived in the womb of the Mother of God, when He began to enjoy the Beatific Vision, and in that vision all the members of His Mystical Body were continually and unceasingly present to Him, and He embraced them with His redeeming love. O marvelous condescension of divine love for us!” (paragraph 75) Wow, it gives new meaning when seeing a Nativity scene! Anyway, there’s a book that goes into this topic called “Redeemer in the Womb,” by Fr. John Saward, if you are interested. God bless you also.
