Too bad the other 6,900+ people that watched this detailed summary of history couldn't be bothered to "smash" that "like" button. Still great work even if it's underappreciated. Thanks for sharing the knowledge!

Deemphasize the importance of the national bank debate throughout this period? Trivialize the importance of killing the central banking system to Jackson? No mention of america’s first major third party, the major opposition to democrats in New York- the antimasonic party? Chalk nearly every significant politically polarized event you’ve mentioned up to petty interpersonal rivalries? Overall, while I greatly appreciate your summary of this era in US history, I am certain that this is a very incomplete “in-depth” historical assessment of the United States during this period.

Agreed. The speaker is doing a great job, in general, with this entire US history series and I'm listening to the whole thing, but his very strong personal bias against Jackson lessens his authority as a historical expert in this particular part of the series. Everything is about racism and white supremacy, petty interpersonal bickering and so forth. I guess he couldn't help himself. Personally, I think Jackson is one of the all-time greats as far as American presidents go.
