HUGE props on the editing of this. I absolutely love this movie to death but it's incredibly hard to cut a trailer for in a way that does the movie justice and this editing so precisely matches the energy of the song.

This song is nearly proto-symphonic metal. If I didn’t know better, you could’ve convinced me Therion were inspired by this when they wrote Theli.

I love most of Argento's work. And I especially love Suspiria. BUT that said INFERNO is his most underrated. It's everything Suspiria is but CREEPIER, DARKER and even MORE STYLISH.

Couldn’t agree more. Inferno is like a beautifully aesthetic nightmare. My all-time-favorite horror film.

Hit the nail on the head. Also, that soundtrack. While Goblin’s soundtrack for Suspiria was consistently better, Keith Emerson’s soundtrack has higher highs, such as this masterpiece. It’s a good thing Goblin and Keith Emerson would both later work on La Chiesa, which might be the most underrated Italian horror movie soundtrack, in my opinion.

Agreed!! Suspiria is my absolute favorite movie I've ever seen...the colors and music are like TOTALLY travelling to another dimension, that while somewhat scary the first time I saw it, I find it to be more neutral in that sense. Plus in reality, only 3 characters die at the hands of the witch in that movie (with Pat's friend being collateral damage). THIS one still has extensive uses of generally the same colors, predominantly red and blue. But while the music for Inferno doesn't have the same "other-worldly" quality that Suspiria has, it adds a level of suspense and fear that REALLY matches the greater intensity of it....I mean NEARLY EVERYONE who speaks more than one line in the movie dies!!!! And I REALLY wish someone could answer this....but WHAT does the few-seconds clip of a girl hanging in the movie have to do with ANYTHING?! (In this clip, it is around 1:13 I believe)

Props to Daria Nicolodi for co-writing the script, even though she didn't get writing credit, and Mario Bava, who co-directed and handled the cameras, lighting, special effects, etc. while Argento was too sick to be on set. This film is not the result of one horror maestro, it is a collaborative effort from many talented men and women.

To give credit where it is due, this movie was co-written by Daria Nicolodi, who didn't get writing credit, and was co-directed by Mario Bava, who also ended up operating the camera, handling lighting, arranging special effects, etc. Dario Argento was sick for the filming and could not be on set often. It is his least favorite of his films for that reason. Just like I imagine Phenomena is Jennifer Connelly's least favorite Argento film after the chimp on set bit her finger off. Illness and injury make for bad memories.

@@AuDHDarling didn't knew about Nicolodi being co-writer, that's awesome

@@AuDHDarling I think Daria really needs to be more recognized. Sickness aside I wonder what Argento thinks would have been done differently? Was Daria's co writing because of his sickness or did they collaborate on this story before he was ill?

Great job editing to this great music piece. I like that you did not go the obvous route and show just jump cuts of the over the top gore but instead concentrated on the mysterious things. The looks from different characters conveying a sense of who can I trust.

Brilliant, I own about 15 Dario Argento films. Apparently he has a lot more than that. Most of them are obscure and I can not find them for sale on DVD. Of the 3 Mothers trilogy I like them in order. Suspiria was the best, some say it was Dario's masterpiece. The music in all three films is great. As far as Inferno, how gorgeous are the women, especially Ania Pieroni, the student with the cat. There is no shortage of cats, rain or water in the first two films. Ania Pieroni was portraying the "Mother of Tears" in "Inferno". The time lapse between the films made her not reprise her role. Moran Atias as "The Mother of Tears" in the third film did a great job though, absolutely beautiful and cruel. Asia Argento was a piece of ass too in that film. I recommend his other films. You wont be disappointed. On another note how great is Irene Miracle's wet tee shirt contest?

Great job on this! Too bad Argento felt the need to have Leigh McCloskey star, because Gabriele Lavia was a better actor and would’ve made much more of an impact.
