My trick: Go to canada do your masters Convert that into PR : 4years approx Convert PR into citizenship: additional 3year Total time- 7-8years You can stay unlimited in USA under TN status for canadians because of NAFTA pact which allows canadians & mexicans to stay & work in USA 😄
@ImmigrantTalks3 жыл бұрын
I guess, that might just work and you also have Canada as back up
@AltraChannel3 жыл бұрын
After graduating from Canadian universities, it will take 6-12 months to obtain permanent resident status. To obtain citizenship you need to live in Canada for 3 years with permanent resident status, but if you complete 2 academic years in a Canadian course and after you become a permanent resident to obtain citizenship, you will need 2 years. Full term for obtaining citizenship 3.5-4.5 years

Bro wow, you explained it so good. Is there any video discussing transition from F1 student -> EAD (60 days) -> F1 OPT ->H1b? including the timelines, what if you lose job maybe when you are in F1 OPT or when you are on H1B? Also, let's take an example, I am graduating in 2024. I get 3 yrs of F1 OPT (STEM course), first two attempts of H1B failed, but last attempt worked, so am getting 2+3 years of stay right? ++ other H1B (3years) or I140 years... now if my H1B is picked in first attempt only, then I would be like only 3 years + ++ other H1B (3years) or I140 years...? Is it right calculation?

Hi Shria, I believe the world of immigration laws is dynamic in nature, laws change with time. Though the current wait time people say is over 100 years to get accepted for green card. I believe otherwise because immigration in my opinion will only get better with time, though it has been hard for past few years. I have an optimist view at the end of the day, but that’s not the facts. Congratulations to you and your husband for I-140.

You are oversimplifying the transition from OPT to H1B. H1B is through a lottery. So, even if a company is willing to sponsor your H1B, you still have to be the one selected in the H1B lottery. I have known ppl who keep doing more than one Masters to keep trying for the H1B. There is a limit of 3 times to apply for the H1B lottery. After that, one has to self deport.

Hi, could I know, would the company apply for my H1B directly on my behalf or I need to apply and request the HR dept. to proceed ? Most importantly, is the H1B visa approval process like a lottery? If so, let's assume only 20% gets drawn from the lottery-box and accepted. So if my application isn't drawn in the 3 years consecutively. If it's a lottery system there's a good chance of many students not getting accepted. Their situation will be worse off if they take out student loans isn't it ?

It is so Funny , how Indians can even think about Getting an American Citizenship. Great Freedom fighters of India would be even lamenting from Heaven saying Kinke liye jaan diye hamne

That's why no one in India still knows how to make a semi conductor chips. It is a wrong thing to say this. People should learn what's there which is not in India and bring that in India. Same thing Vikram Sarabhai did. And all engineers should do.

What’s the waiting time right now for Indians to get greencard through employment?
@ImmigrantTalks2 жыл бұрын
Depends upon the year you apply in. My friend just got it after waiting for 10 years.
