You can also tap off the reverse light from the 7 pin side of the Curt harness and if you get the 5 pin Curt you have a connector on the end that hooks up the backup lights. (No need to remove the tail light! Or even make a T. ) Just get a crimp connector bullet on the backup line from the bar light plug in the empty hole on the 5 pin connection.

Pain in the arse to hook up for me. Have 2016 f150 and none of the trailer connectors worked. No phone support, email only. Finally hard wired it to the lights to make it work. Love the lightbar though! Very brite!

Yeah unfortunately on Ram’s it has to go over the spare tire release hole. I had a flat happen and just pulled it aside then snapped it back in after I was done. Not a big deal for me but i can see it being a problem for others.

Ugh my only draw back is covering the spare tire release hole but I guess if you use the clip you can just pop it off to take down the spare

Great video! How far apart did you put the clamps that hold in the light bar, looks like you spaced them out pretty good. I know you said an 1/8" up but I just want to make sure before I go drilling the holes. Thank You

Did any warning lights go off, I have a 2017 tan 1500 bighorn and I wanna get his with the 7 pin adapter, but they are telling me to get the module for it because it won’t work properly and warning lights will go off

Light bar is held on with a couple metal retaining clips. Just pop the light bar off and rest it on the bumper. Continue normal spare tire process. When done just snap the light bar back in place. You do not need to unhook any wires.

Opt7 also sells the wiring harness but they add a reverse wire so there is no splicing at all plug and. Play in case you have to disconnect for repair of vehicle a d keep your warrenty

Holding up great. No problems with the led lights. Just have to make sure to take a damp rag and wipe the dirt off periodically to keep it looking bright
