The fact that they just stopped doing the story island (probably because they can't monetize it) is the most "we're just here to make the most money possible of this IP" thing they've ever done. I get they need to make money, but these devs are the only ones I've ever seen, not trying to make their game fun and enjoyable? They literally seem to enjoy making the game a chore to do - I know it's not true, but it's what it seems by their actions. Maybe they'll see the. Numbers are going down and not playing events - maybe then they'll do something.

Honestly I think it’s because bandai doesn’t care about the game anymore because they can’t do much with it. Think about it, the game was developed and released like in 2013-2015 and I’m sure bandai is shocked how long this game lasted. Look how the game is built and played…they can’t do much with it, they just can’t. At this point bandai is only cares about the money and milking every cent until everyone has enough and quits. They make the game a chore because once you open up the app and play, Bandai makes money the longer you’re on the app, so yes f2p make Bandai money as well. But yeah this is just my 2 cents

I thought they'd stopped with story because of Wano being ongoing and they'd resume when they arc was done. The number of f2p units, even if just character representation without good use, is entirely gone.

Kizuna was creative like Garp Challenges and now it's just another event with boosters that are not even optimal for superbosses. A bit like PKA, the OPTC team should try to revamp the game mode by 1) limiting the "overfit" to boosters and recent batchs (stop interrupts and anti-debuffs for every single effect), 2) boost rewards like more colas for ship LB, more insignas, etc. and 3) reduce the grind needed to reach box 7 like they did with TM. Hardcore gamers will keep grinding for top spots but more casual and enthousiasts players with finite amount of time can get all rewards without needing specific boosters or insane dedication.

On purpose. They design the next challenge so that you would want to pull for the batch it’s tailored for. I’m the end, it’s all about money and increasing app usage. That’s why they want to make the grind harder, less rewarding until we all burn out. I feel like I couldn’t do anything this time with the super bosses because I didn’t pull the cross guild batch or the Blackbeard batch.

I wouldn't say this is an issue with kizuna itself but an issue with the game itself but I don't like that it takes MONTHS for them to update the shop with the skulls for recent super evolutions. I'm pretty sure 6+ shanks skulls were added this month or sometime last month, which is honestly quite ridiculous. if you miss one box because you don't have enough tickets then you can't get the skull until months later, which means you'll be needing different characters for TM or whatever content that character is specifically used for because one or two skulls were missed and you have no other way to get them

It's pretty funny to see all the people using the 3* strat. It's like a social experiment to see how much of a slave you can be to the game. How much money and time of your life are you willing to give to bandai. The funniest thing without a doubt is those who use this strat and then ask to bandai to change it.

Once you open up the app bandai makes money, so the longer you play the more money bandai makes. People are crying over the 3* strat because casual spenders and f2p who saved their potions were ranking higher then whales and whales don’t like that cause “I spent over this much $$$ and how dare f2p/casual spenders rank higher then” that’s why all of a sudden this whole 3* star is getting attention and why whales want it gone even though some have abused the 3* strat as well

The alliance thing is also a problem. There’s a high turnover rate with many players stopping their play and it’s very imbalanced when you are the only one contributing while others are just dormant or simply quit the game

I used to enjoy Kizuna, and I would do between 40 and 60 clears on the regular. However, it's just become too complicated now, same with TM. It was fun because I was actually able to build teams for it, which I'm not particularly good at in general. But now it's essentially impossible for me, at least if I want to get past lvl 30. Another fun part was that you got to use more of your character box, but as with anything else in this game now, all of it is aimed towards the new releases

i think adding a new 6+ tied to the rumble season was a good idea, but we've had so many bad characters recently that simply weren't worth the grind like arlong crew, marcowb, switch bm, etc. I'm not really sure why I'm even playing this one as there's really nothing interesting about it.

I am one of the new players and so i totally agree with you. And i am a "f2p" player. I agree especially with what you said about super boss and the kizuna insight for super evo. I have a lot of pgs that nerd to be super evolved and that let me to be more competitive everywhere but unfortunately i cannot farm fast as i would. Super boss are so hard without some new legends during the kizuna event and this is soooooooo disgusting, they have to sell It's ok, i understand it but a little bit exagerate i think

The changes to TM they have currently done make it worth getting the bare minimum rewards even if you don't pull for the boosters. Kizuna has never had great rewards and since they nerfed the amount of boxes you get to reroll for it's not even worth going crazy like before. Mode needs a huge upgrade.

Finally we are talking! Is not well balance. The amount of time you have to play in those 3 days of the most repetitive and anoying event ever to get 3 or 5 skulls is stupid. And for what? A 6+ you maybe use in the next treasure map for one team and done. Because next week new batch, with specific skills for the new event. And yes! The fun of this games is do damage! Is seeing the most stupid number on your screen, sharing with your friends, make them say ok I am gonna try myself. And its fun. No one is sharing removing shields and barriers and atack down and special blind.... Ey look at that, my team can go through despair and fear... No one is interested in seeing that. We need freedom again to build teams thinking in have fun not in how to pass a run quickly knowing you have to do it again hundred of times more. Did you guys remember when you have dungeons and you have to think about having enough damage to beat the boss in maybe 2 turns?? And you need the special of the Oro Jackson to remove the paralysis in that second turn? And you have just the exact amount of damage to get your perfects and with your last perfect, done! YES! This is not happening anymore because you just need to remove the gimmicks and do an overkill with one or two characters.... And what about that there is no special characters anymore. Blackbeard should be a monster, should be a legend that everyone of us want. Is freaking Blackbeard! But no, just another new legend in a bait sugo. How many anniversaries have the game now? I am not sure if this is the anniversary or not. If is not having about 4 or 5 anniversaries batches before the anniversary is a scam, a big one. The time when Roger appeared and you can use him to build different teams to beat every content on the game; Garp challenges, forests, dungeons, clashes, colliseums... You feel that you have a special character, that can help you pass content. Not anymore.

Literally was just thinking about this. This Kizuna has just made me not care at all about getting any of the materials or ranking. If you don't have most of the new units, it's nearly impossible to clear a round, and on top of that, the RNG is HORRENDOUS - you could have all boosted units go up to a high clear count and because of the horrible RNG you could miss getting the last skull (it has happened to me more than once). People are just not going to try after a certain point. They really need to rethink this antiquated thought that players want to spend hours on end doing the same actions over and over to then just get screwed by RNG.🤔

100%. Especially the last 2 skulls in box 7 is so egregious. Putting everything in up to box 6 is ok, because even if you need to spend 100% tickets to get everything, that’s still less than the whole of box 7. being rng screwed on box 7 (which has happened to me, down to the last 200 or so pulls before I got the 2nd skull in a past kizuna) just feels so bad when you used all you had and still fell short.

Yeah really not a big fan of Kizuna, i remember back in the days couple of years back i really enjoyed it but then i stopped the game for about 2 years and when i came back the game mode just felt way too hard and felt like "You need that specific character to beat it" kind of mode. Which is really sad because it's basically the only way to get skulls for 6+ nowadays. It's constant grind needing alot of kizuna potions and the posters animation poping each time you beat a quest is really annoying. I feel like with some tuning they can make kizuna fun again. We'll see.

I love One Piece and really enjoy a lot of the characters. I don't think I can feel good about myself supporting this dying game anymore, however... I'm betting on the anniversary not solving issues with the hyper monetization/super pay to win focus shift. Among the recurring modes, the only one left with actual skill of team building and execution is Treasure Map... however that's being run into the ground with the cards and increasingly difficult pay to pull to beat boss. 😢

It’s so weird. I had 3 teams for 7’s and absolutely destroyed for over 60+ levels but tripped hard on 10’s. My team mates mostly managed to run 10’s till it got too hard, swapped to 7’s and then hit a wall well before 60+ so I ended up helping everyone’s beat their failed 7’s Makes no sense to me. I couldn’t beat the super, I was one member off your posted team and had no replacement. (Nami Robin 6 with that additional immunity drop for lvl 2)

For me i play the game a month then i take a couple months break because it takes a lot to get gems ,team building is so hard for kizuna and tm don't give much gems.use to love the game like 3 years ago because getting gems as a beginner is easy but after completing the story and the rest of the challenges that give gems its so hard to get like a 100 gems in a couple of days know it takes me a month to get that because im free to play mainly and don't play much because its annoying ,just log in know

The problem with the game is boosters for events you have to pull damn near every sugo and if you dont get the units you've wasted gems and you have to clear more levels just to get the rewards

I don't know if it's a proper solution to the kizuna problem, but I'd like it if as an alliance we farmed super boss tokens collectively and then players could take from the pool to attempt the super boss. That way players that didn't pull the newest units, whether from skipping or just bad luck (like my entire alliance except for one this time), can still contribute and the players that wre able to can kill the SB. As it is now, kizuna is just p2w like every other mode in optc. It's beyond irritating.

The reason why i droped the game the third time was the lack of enjoyment. I pulled the newest new year batch (yamato, zanji & zoro and roger & oden), and have 2-3 days fun with it in the blitz battle and then it started to be forgotten like the other characters in my box. G5 was a bit different but the anniversary iself i was happy to pull alle the cool new characters, all of them but then only sanji was realy used at all not even Albers with his crazy cpt abbility. The reason for that was the limitation of the content all day long, the opportunity to play these characters was so minimal. I have no Problem to spend Money on a Game if i really enjoy it. I spend alot of money in TCGs just to play a deck once or twice and then drop it, but i dont want to drop money on a character to have 3 days fun with it and then never play it again. Tresure Map was a shit experience before i started to play on east blue and auto farming them. In Kizuna it was the same, i starts stressful then after finding a Team that can work i have fun 1 day and then the kizuna ends and the disappointment starts cuz of this shity reward system where i have to pray to the gods so i can at least get my skulls for the unit. getting the skulls for the evolution on a super boss f2p characters was nearly impossible. The most thing i have to criticize to this game and the reason why i dont play it anymore is that you cant enjoy your characters at all and the game dont respect your time at all.

I've been playing for 1 month. First Kizuna event for me but I couldn't beat the boss even once. I know the game, I reached level 37 in 10* Boss with 1 month of calculation, but Super Boss is impossible for me. And that's no fun. Having all new characters for every event is ridiculous. Isn't the important thing that I highlight my own variation with what I have?

Im glad that im not alone. Kizuna is difficult. Maybe thats why my alliance members dont play it. INT variant has this gimmick where dmg of every orb is cut in half. From normal orbs through rcv to G orbs. I was thinking how to approach it and it hit me - super bombs have normal multiplier. And instead of feeling good about myself that i solved the puzzle i thought "bandai forgot about that one". Optc is no longer a puzzle game, it is resource management game. You pull here, you lb that, you spend your gems there. Thats why i think 3* stat is fair, you have to have the most valuable resource which is time.

Or you cheese it by using a unit who can do the very same thing (like the new str Blackbeard) over multiple turns so the boss can’t apply the debuff. Which doesn’t feel that good; feels more like circumventing the problem instead of properly solving it…though it works. Base psy G5, both captain and fc Str BB, psy Zoro (fierce battle I think it’s his title) TM legend Jinbe, wano law That’s my int team; I cheese the boss both on the orb debuff and the death hit with the BB in stage 2 and keeping a G5 super in reserve. Just have to keep in mind to either use the first G5 super in stage 1 or after BB in stage 2 because he only gives 1 turn of changed orb multipliers and thus won’t cheese stage 3 entry. It gets the job done, but doesn’t feel good in doing so.

I don't see why the 3* strat is a problem. Maybe for the 1% who whales and goes for the rankings. For most of the community, we just want the skulls. Rewards and insignias definitely needs a boost.

I really hope that every super boss we get in the future is just a boss with a ton of hp, live 500 billion at lvl 1 and scales up to a trillion so that you just need to do a lot of dmg and If you don't kill you do it again

Hard gating mats is IMO what makes this game suck ass. The amount of mats you need, and the extreme rarity of certain mats and tablets makes me not want to spend or play the game that hard. My whale game is Puzzles and dragons, and at all times I have access to any mat or latent I may need, and none of them are particularly rare. The fun is playing the game, not hardcore grinding mats.

The 10 difficulty is easy for me i just hate the super boss!! I have all the specific characters needed i can get pass all the gimmicks but I'm never able to do over 1 billion damage. Do i need my units max lvl limit break? If so that kinda sucks

Kizuna is the reason that makes me not return. It's literally impossible to catch up, because the amount of insignias are limited, and to empty box 7 you pretty much need the newer units. So, you either spend to get the best box, or you'll never catch up, which is insane.

Regarding Kizuna Insignia, On the other side of the same token. A long time player like me sees a currency I am rarely able to spend for my benefit. In fact the only thing I've bought with them is the Exchange Ace and their evolution skulls. I think they could hit two birds with one stone by letting us exchange them for Limit Break materials.

No Garp challenges, Bazar sucks compared to before, Arena has been shelved, chaos Arena also gone, Evolution skulls are kinda useless, just the specific ones needed, No more Intrusion. They are making the game harder and need the flavour of the week Sugo to do good against content. They are destroying the game 👍.
