The shields seem a little small, I looked at the promotional art for the first movie where he's holding the shield on the ground, looking down, and the top of the shield reached to where his "crouch" would be, these only look like they'll reach to his thigh. I could be wrong since I don't have the figure, you could check yourself, but the shields look a bit small.

Seems like Hot Toys nail the Ironman figures but figures with fabric tend to have issues. also maybe they need to redesign the body they use for all there figures, The Hot Toys figures usually look really nice but once you start moving them around and trying to pose, flaws start to show up or threads on the fabric break apart.

There's a new body for Star Lord that I think would've fit Cap here way better. He isn't buff enough on these. The costumes and the fabrics are kind of unfortunate, because if they used a stronger material, you could be sacrificing some articulation or detail. Pricing also would play a part too, considering they're already quite expensive. However, the STRIKE Cap was already a disappointment in my opinion. The padding beneath the costume is supposed to buff him up, and it's really annoying.

Yeah no I did look at scenes of the movie I saw the shield because the shield was covered in dirt and dust from that explosion that the winter soldier fired his grenade launcher at Steve And the paint is still there but is all covering dust From that explosion from the grenade launcher.

saw and held my first hot toys figures for real this weekend, only ever seen them on here before. And it was these two figures. I was surprised at how light the steve rogers figure was. from watching these reviews i just expected them to be heavier. to be honest im still not convinced i want to spend £150+ on figures. Dont get me wrong, i liked them, the headsculpts in particular are amazing, im just not sure as i said that i can justify the money to get them at the moment. and i still dont have what i think is display space these figures deserve. its a pity i cant get just the heads for now and display them somehow lol. I said that to the store oner and he looked at me like i was a bit odd!!. Maybe i'll get around to buying some of the figures some day, just not right now, im honestly happy with my NECA and other smaller scale figures for now, bought 12 of those the same day i saw the hot toys figures.

probably the main and most logical reason to the costume being so bulky is that captain america aint superman; in other words, hes still human, thus being a pin cushion for bullets
