Tattoo Liverpool Well in all fairness, there are no instructions with Sideshow figures. That's something i wish they'd do. The only reason i knew is because i've followed this figure for a while and when they showed it off during comic con i think, they showed those parts swapping out

Don't know if someone already mentioned this, but the alternate cowl and angry face sculpt is probably supposed to replicate the Dark Knight Returns Batman, who is 55 years old and out of retirement

Thanks for the review. I think this version of Batman looks great!! I grew up in the 19 sixties and seventies and I think that it's nice to revisit the older style Batman for a change from the always all black Batman. This Batman reminds me of the Batman seen in the 1966 Topps trading card series. I will always like the michael keaton batman but i love the nod to his past comic book roots while still keeping the more menacing modern day feel. I like this Batman so much that I ordered the exclusive one to battle damage the figure and a regular one to keep normal. Yeah I am geeking out about it but I have always been a Batman fiend.

Just got my batman in. All i have to say is this figure is impressive. I had my doubts but in the end it blew me away. Love the cape design. Pictures and videos don't do it any justice. Glad I went ahead and made the purchase.

I just got this figure today! I was lucky to find the Exclusive battle damaged one. Just the head, but still very awesome! The Cape is insane! I love the T. M. capes but this comes perfect. Another thing is the that the size and heft of this figure is amazing! Thanks for such a thorough review. I don't mind long reviews. I knew Bats had some kryptonite. Did not know that he forged it into a ring. The only ring I knew he had was a Green Lantern ring, and he was approached to bear the ring of a Yellow Lantern, but was declined due to him previously having the Green.

Thanx so much for reviewing this! Curious- not a big issue, but is 'Hot Toys'' logo still printed below the box? Suit is fine, but body is not 'golden-age-buff' enough... Arms & Legs are fine... Prefer the short Bat ears

It's not a Hot Toys item so there wouldn't be any Hot Toys logos on the package. But double checking for you, nope...nothing. The only logos there are is a Batman one, Warner Brothers one and a DC one. That's it

I've been waiting for this figure! Kryptonite ring hand is poorly executed but still look like a good figure and I see that Sideshow changed their pegs for the hands. Still waiting for more reviews of this figure before fully deciding to pick it up, but I have to say that this is the most decent 1/6 figure comic styled Bats.

Erwin Azucena Well if you have any further questions, i'd be happy to answer them the best i can. I think the ring looks pretty good and has a decent look to it, giving it a "pseudo-glow" look to it. I would have really loved it if it could actually light up. But beyond that, i think it's simple. Maybe make it more of a translucent piece with green paint under to help carry it across a bit better.

overall I really appreciate the thoroughness of the review. that said: I'd of liked it more if you'd A - cut down and telling us your personal preferences (I'd rather just be informed of all my options) and I don't really need you to repeatedly affirm that I can do whatever I want with my own figure. (frankly; I found that extremely annoying) B - maybe used that saved time by demonstrate the articulation more thoroughly as well as some poses utilizing the stand

Thank you for watching. Reviews are opinions. They're the personal preferences of the person giving the review. So i doubt i'll be able to cut that out. It's my style and it's how i've always done things. I didn't think telling people that they can do whatever they wish with the figure was that bad of a thing. But i'm sorry you found it annoying. I've been reviewing figures longer than most people on youtube. One thing i admit freely, is i'm terrible at posing figures. I demonstrate the articulation so that you can see what is possible to do with the figures range of motion. It lets me get across what a figure can do and leave it up to the viewer to determine if they think the figure will be able to be put in whatever poses they might want for their piece. Thanks for the feedback though, i appreciate it. And again, thanks for watching.

After looking around, I would pick up the medicom 1/6 batman over this. That wasn't super amazing but neither is this, and that one looks more comic book accurate and you get a choice of blue or black. They also just done a DKR version too. Dissapointed in this figure like I'm sure many other sideshow collectors are.

***** First off, it's made by Hot Toys and distributed here in North America by Sideshow. Not trying to sound rude just want to make sure that information gets clarified. Unfortunately too many people think they're one in the same and they are not. Secondly, i haven't decided if i will get one or not. I have been asked if i'd be willing to do a contest to give one away when it comes out...that probably will happen. But i don't know if i'll buy one myself. I just don't really see too much of a point in it when we already have the MP-10 figure which transforms and all.

***** I don't know what's really to dislike about it or why he would dislike it so much. I think it looks terrific. It has a more "real" sort of look and not so much a cartoon look. And by that i mean weathering and such on the paint. He also seems to come with odd accessories, those being the random parts for Starscream, like his wings. But beyond that, i don't see that big of a problem with the figure. Optimus, or more specifically, Convoy, is a very massive character over in Japan. So it would make sense to make a figure like that. He doesn't transform though...to me that's his biggest downfall. We have an almost perfect cartoon representation of Optimus in the form of MP-10. They're roughly the same height. MP-10 is i think 9 1/2 inches and the Hot Toys one is 12. So that's not much of a difference if you ask me. I just don't see the point in having him when i have mp-10. The lack of transformation doesn't bug me TOO much...considering i never display Optimus in truck mode anyhow lol. As for the Sideshow and Hot Toys difference. It can be confusing at times. Hot Toys though sells in Asia primarily. They have Sideshow sell items in North America. But Sideshow also makes their own products too. Such as this Batman.

Thanks for clearing the Hot Toys thing for me and yeah I would compare this Optimus to Rex from Clone Wars from being a cartoon character turn realistic for the 12 in line, which always impresses me when they do, and I completely understand why it doesn't transform since I believe its main goal is just to be a good looking 12 in Optimus figure to display but for maybe for the same price you could just get mp10 that kind of dose that including transform.

***** The Hot Toys Optimus also seems to have a higher degree of articulation, because it doesn't also need to transform (such as some degree of "ab" crunch). Also, not only is Optimus (to my knowledge) not TOO much bigger of a character in Japan than he is here, but Hot Toys is based in Hong Kong, which is pretty culturally different from Japan. Just try not to generalize Asian countries. ;)
