Bought 5 packs last Thursday. First pack had a Lebron James My House Pink /25!! Then, being the idiot I am, I went and bought about $1000 more in retail optic.... hahaha.. Ripped them all. Nothing else very good. But I have made several sets out of what I pulled. Ill make one set for myself of all pack pulled parallels, and then list everything else on eBay and I should be able to recoup quite a bit of my costs. I spent about $1000. Ill sell singles, insert sets, and 3 complete sets that should bring me about $5-600. Then I have 4-5 good grading candidates. Giddey, Barnes, and Jalen Green blue velocity and Ayo and Mobley holos that are all centered well and very clean that I will send to PSA on the $18 level. Once I move them I should be back to net positive and then still have the Lebron My House that I will send to BGS (surface dimple issues...). I really dont know what value I would place on it. But in the end I should at least break even and have 1 full set for myself, and a high dollar Lebron.

Aren’t they $14.98? They try to cost at least $0.01 less than Target? I also noticed that more people are complaining about the cost of the packs once the card market started to tank. 🤔 I do think they should decrease the prices of all blasters, cellos, & Megas by $5, and the hangers by $3.

So 20 packs total (about $340 total) between you and your friend and your three top pulls and his one were about it (as far as nice pulls go)? Plus another $60 for your Mega box. It's not like collation overall is the problem (unless there's a lot of duplicate base cards). But collation of the high dollar cards seems to be the more specific problem. That is more concerning IMO.

Ripped 10 of these from the Walmart restock last week …. First 6 were brutal, then hit the hot pack streak and got a Giddey blue velocity, Scottie Barnes blue velocity, Jalen Green blue velocity, and Devin Booker pink base numbered /25 in the last 4 packs. Blue velocities hold a special place in my heart, best retail parallel imo. Wish the top rookie velocities held a bit more value though

I think a lot of collectors are missing the point when they are only happy when they get a valuable card. If you get a blue velocity of a rookie you like and the product is good, but the exact same card as a rookie you don't like the product is bad? That's like liking blackjack when you get 21 but not when you get bust, it's the same game.

I have learned a great lesson this year. Stay far far far far away from value packs. I also wasted about $130 last weekend on Optic and Prizm value packs. Pulled maybe $30 worth of cards. I also think I have a curse with Prizm and Optic, I have never pulled a banger from either product. It really is crazy with the amount I have spent.

Let’s think about this long term. 100 years from now, these cards from this pandemic era may be highly desirable to collect. They are raising prices and probably over producing product. Card companies should be short printing all products and raising prices creating that demand for these potentially relic cards from a era that will be remembered in history. Deep thoughts brother.
