U are right. Opticals block double clicking which happens over time. But razer does click filtering bs

Are optical switches more durable than mechanical? I've been using Logitech mice for a few years and my current one is a G604. My previous one was a G602. And the ones before that were also Logitech mice. I like this series because of the extra programmable keys. But, I think my G604 is going to be my last Logitech mouse. I notice that, after about a year or two, they would often suffer from accidental double-clicks. I'm not a gamer. I'm a software developer and accidental double-clicks can be fatal to my work. So, I've been looking for a replacement. I want something that will last me at least 5 years.

In theory, they should. I used viper mini for 2 years, every single day. And it never fails me. Optical switch means the responsiveness is very much minimal. Less moving parts, less electrical ressistance, equal minimal response time. Also optical means no double click, forever. (Afaik. Unless there is some issue with the pcb inside) Optical switches are amazing. I bought a new wireless mouse with mechanical switch last november, (Inno X2, basically same OEM as Kysona M600) and honestly the only thing it does better than viper mini is just there is no wire that slows it down. And now it seems that this thing starts to double click. I might need to change the switch itself...

Have the same problem, did you end up replacing with optical switches and if so, what kind?

@@bruhmanfromthefifthfloor Yup. I bought a Roccat Kone Air. It was the cheapest I could find that was from a trusted brand (from what I've seen from reviews). I didn't want to spend a fortune for something that I wasn't yet sure about. So far, it's been great and I really like it. It feels quite similar to my G604, albeit with fewer side buttons. The only thing I'm missing is the infinite/smooth scrolling. Hopefully, it will last longer than my previous Logitech mice.

@@RexTorres how bizarre I was looking at the same brand just waiting on it to go on sale. lol I’ll take it as a sign to not repair the mouse and wait for the sale. Thanks for replying.

@@bruhmanfromthefifthfloor Np. Just note though that the Kone Air is _*BIG*_. I like 'em big but I know a lot of people like smaller mice. Also, for the price, it's not as premium-feeling as other higher-end mice. I wouldn't call it cheap-feeling; but it's definitely not high-end. And it's got no RGB, if that's important to you.

If i buy the lamzu maya X with optical switches. It means my mouse would double click if i turn the latency to 0 ms in the software right?
