Hey man same since I started at 18 I'm 23 now went to rehab twice but long story short no one really knows what those group sessions do to you and how it can change your life. Relapses in most cases will happen it happened to me 6 months ago but I just kept fighting through it and I realized self isolation is not a full proof plan to sobriety you gotta get people around you who truly support you. I was lucky enough to have friends who cared about me but also cut off a lot of kids who were terrible influences on me. Glad you made it through Justin I remember seeing people leave days after coming into rehab just because they think that they cant let go. For guys or at least for me you dont ever wanna show weakness or vulnerability but we are all human beings and we got emotions that we need to share with others. Without at least trying to continue to better yourself is beating the insurmountable. Keep it going bro and lets get some more fuckin dubs baby #Greenwall NO MORE 0-3 3-0s ONLY NOW BOYYY haha.

I myself am almost 3 years sober from a pill addiction and from my experience all it takes is 1 person to support you in the journey to sobriety and YES everyone can be sober! Putting in the work and effort to better yourself is the greatest feeling! I am VERY proud of your Nick! Thank you for an immaculate video Roger, you sir are an artist! Thank you for everything #BrickbyBrick

Damn Maniac and FaZe Rain went almost through the same thing. Glad they doing good now. I would’ve never thought they would go through something like this since they always seemed happy. Reminder to check on your close ones cause you never know

Nah. They both had addictions but the opiates fried rains nervous system and now he’s in a wheelchair and has to deal with a lot of pain, he’s in a unique situation even for someone who abused drugs.

@@juliusp6297 Nah they just kicked him and told him to gtfo you're actin too crazy. Hecz is the goat for taking niac to rehab and ensuring his sobriety. Banks and that crew are pieces of shit in a lot of ways but not bein there for rain and allowing him to do all those fuckin drugs all the time is just sad. they watched him do it daily and then kicked him when it got out of hand probably a bit after. Cold blooded

Thank you for making this. As someone who nearly died to my addiction at the age of 19 and am still in the recovery process. Being so open about this helps me in so many ways with the motivation that you and I are not alone in this. I have now been sober since February 29th 2016, I know that I will never not be an addict at heart. But I do know that I can keep a hold on my addiction as long as a stay connected mentally with how bad it really was back then and that I made a promise to myself that day that I would never revisit that lifestyle again. Stay focused Maniac, and keep sharing your experience, It will only push us farther into our sobriety!

Fair play man. I’ve found that evaluating the options you have in life and spending time with those who care about you are both pretty healing. All the best

Personally don’t really like talking about my struggles much at all, but watching this, hearing nick reflect made me so the same, realising all the bad habits I’ve developed, realising how much I was abusing drugs and how many things were insanely unhealthy about my life and lifestyle. Admittedly, I watched this last year in October and within a week had started going to meetings, properly reflecting and talking about past trauma and such. So I gotta say, nick, fucking thank you man! Your story helped me change my story, and I have the utmost respect for you and your story. Happy to see you have improved yourself! It’s been almost a year since this was posted, I kinda wanna see a year in review for you, I wanna know where you’re at now in comparison to then! And again, a year since it was posted but I hope you read some of the comments from time to time to see how many of us back you and love you!

Possibly the best video Optic have ever created. To admit your problems is one thing.. airing it on the internet to help others is incredible. Big love Niac.. earned another Sub

So dope to hear. I'm in recovery from a xanax addiction and it's inspiring to hear Maniac's story and how all of OpTic supports recovering addicts and alcohlics. I don't think people understand how fast other orgs would just instantly drop a player or content creator for struggling with addiction. Was already an OpTic fan but this cements who great you guys really are.

Damn dude when his buddy was talking about writing in his journal and he said "....he better not fucking die" That felt like it physically hit me. That dude is a good friend. My best friend told me he had written my actual eulogy down on paper. Sending good vibes to all of you.

Hecz you almost brought a tear to my eye, you are a good soul. I've been following you guys since the early cod4 days. I have also abused my body body and mind in the past, I am clean and sober and happier. When you are at your lowest people turn to drugs to try and numb the pain. It starts out fun and seems like harmless partying, but you start hating yourself and wanting to die. All you young homies watching please take notes, this is very common, drugs aren't good and are never the answer. Please don't start abusing yourself. You are all kings and are never alone, reach out or reach within you can be strong and nothing lasts forever. take action and build the life you dream of. love you all x

I honestly didn't want to watch this, but I'm so happy to see that an Organization as amazing as Optic VALUES individual or a person as simple as that. MANIAC is family and they took care of their own!!! It's gonna be a constant battle but you need to understand that your presence(maniac) is a huge part of what the Optic Brand is!!!! You have responsibilities to them as a friend as a business associate and as a Man!!! Up until this video I never fully liked you, never said anything negative but just didn't. Now I respect you and applaud you sir! You are an inspiration!!!

things like this is why im an optic fan... they arent a team , they arent an org,, theyre literally a family. to save Nick and not give up on him and the things they sacrificed to make him sober and help him is incredible. im a grown man and cried several times during this. Optic has helped me with depression and anxiety so much . from the funny content and the heated and close in game moments theyve took and cured alot of my past problems with depression. Hecz youre a hero and it goes unrecognized what you truly built the day you started Optic, and from me and ALL fans we thank yo so much! We love you Nick, please stay sober and safe, we all care about you!
