Still doesn't seem like a 100% guarantee method to avoid pregnancy, the best method is pulling out n that depends on the guy's skills n how much he cares about his partner's wishes too. with 2 of my pregnancies I knew exactly the day when the egg was relesed, I felt it at night. Normally I do not feel when ovulation happens but with the pregnancies I could feel it drop, is a very small thing to feel but is possible. That was with our 2nd and 3rd boys as we were actively trying to conceive and I was paying attention to everything, followed the window described here. Dr. is right. Our 1st blessing have no idea when, he actually happened with a condom protection, it was surprise:)

Is there a Degradation of sperm "quality" if it's stays in the female organ, like for example in the Fallopian Tube until ovulation and fertilzation occur? Remember the days that you had your menstrual cycle start for the last 3 months. Calculate the no of days between them. Then take average. Eg. 34 days to first cycle 28 days first to second cycle 32 days second to third cycle Avg= (34+28+32)/3= 31.33 days or 31 days. If 31 days, half of it is 15 days. So around 15th day from the start of your next cycle is your ovulation. But it's not exact, so take 2days back and front. 13th to 17th day you can expect to ovulate. Now, semen can live 5 days. So, 13-5 =8th day onwards have intercourse to 17th or 18th day for chances to pregnancy success.

My cycles were always 28 days like clockwork, if I was not sick or too stressed out. Then I might be 1or 2 days late. If I was 3 days late, I KNEW I was pregnant. My children were each conceived when I had sex on the 10th day of my cycle. When I was trying to get pregnant and keeping track. I don't think the sperm swim fast enough to get up there and fertilize the egg if you have sex after ovulation. At least not for me. In my research I found out that the sperm who produce male children swim Faster, and the sperm that produce female children live longer. Not sure how true that is I had children of both sexes.

Esa Aku search ovulation calculator on google and they give you the exact window when you re fertile and must try to conceive. You need to know your luteal time: how many days are from your last day of mens to the next first day of menstruation, for ex. can be 28-40 days. The longer luteal period the less are chances to conceive but never give up. I had 32 and resp on another pregnancy 34 luteal period. In first pregnancy was 28. So as we get older, we have this luteal time longer, the less egs we release. Keep it up!

Thank goodness...too often the information is wrong and suggests ovulation on day 14, rather than being clear that the cycle can vary in length and ovulation can be before or after this, with the next cycle fairly reliably happening 14 days AFTER ovulation. I think a lot of girls and women have become pregnant because their sex ed classes in school utterly failed to get this right and they all thought ovulation happened on day 14 regardless.
