It's obviously far from Ted Talk quality as I don't have a public speaking experience behind me, and the stress was making me stutter and forget many things, but I think everyone gets my point anyway. Speaking in front of people scared me more than a jumping off a cliff: it was a really rewarding experience, and if it can save at least one person, then it was totally worth it!

Really funny and informative talk, and I think lot of advice are aplicapble for a beginner skydiver like me.

This was fun. Well put. That damn aerial clip made me say "HOOOOLLLYYYY SHIT" out loud in the middle of the office. So that's nice. Always good to hear stuff like this. It's an opportunity to do a mini self-audit while you're listening that you're still making good decisions.

That's a shame as I'm going to be jumping either way and would rather not become a statistic on the group I can't see due to not being invited to the party! Thanks flight risk, I appreciate the info
@davidlaffarguebasejump5 жыл бұрын
@@jbertucci40 Sorry buddy, the administrators of the group want it exclusively for jumpers as we can't take the risk of outsiders sharing the videos with media. No need to fill up your head with scary footage at the beginning anyway: choose or a good mentor or course and start from there. Once your out of the course you'll be added to the group and can enjoy the carnage ^^

Just would not have worked so hard for the chicks. Seriously though, I think your videos are great and your attention to safety and the mental component is spot on. Great to see guys like you sharing your wisdom to such a broad audience. We did not have YT in my day so we learned what we could from those that would share and figured out the rest as we went. As the saying goes...there are old jumpers and bold jumpers but no a lot of old bold jumpers. Cheers!
