Thank you very much sir all the information on how to idle my truck on opti- idle in the hot hot hot weather..... And if anyone else is seeing this information I have a 2020 freightliner... And if you Put the sleeper air conditioner on.. ,,,And then interior comfort mode...on the dash . The engine will idle up automatically and she will run all nite... And you can sleep comfortably in 90ﾟ heat......

To any one that this doesn't work for. You can get a few hours(if not the whole night) with the hand warmer technique. Find your outaide temp reader (freightliner cass are usually on the driver side window) get a hand warmer good and hot and then duct tape it to the underside of the thermometer. Only do the edges of the warmer leave the bottom part for air.(thats what makes it hot). I'll be posting a bid on how this work on my channel soon. Cheers and drive safe.

@@TeamSilver137 per direction on thw hand warmer this is not recommended.BUT. i rub and shake mine for maybe 5 minutes or atleast until its almost to hot to hold. Have youbtried that?

nothing works for my truck. schneider here... 2012 cascadia dd15. i dont want to idle all night, just for a couple of hours to play videogames with my power inverter. this life sucks man. and they wonder why driver retention rates are rock bottom

1st make SURE your air brakes are working correctly. Start your truck, set your trailer brake but NOT your tractor brake. It will not shut off. Make sure you are in a safe area and don't do this on a steep grade. I recommend only doing it in a flat gravel area, for extra safety chock your tire.

I have 2016 cascadia evolution automatic ! If you have been driving with the cruise control when you park truck in neutral turn the cruise off than back on and press resume several times and mine idles as long as i want it to !

ScagSWZU exactly !! 900rpm is needed to keep your dpf clean, then you're using way too much fuel. Company driver? It's not your fuel, why do you care, right ?

this is the only thing that will work for you if you drive for Werner all the other things don't work I have the 2016 Freightliner Cascadia it works for me I used my internal temperature gauges that make it comfortable and then I use the optimized idle temperature sensor controller and whatever you want to call it to keep my truck running by turning the air conditioner on in the winter and turning the heater on in the f****** summer you basically trick the thing you're keeping it at a different temperature than it is set to turn off so it's constantly running

ryan botkin It doesn't work for me. I've tried it all. And it's frustrating because I can't keep it running to cool down the cab. And even when it does stay on the vents won't blow anything. It jus turns on and stays on when it wants to. But won't blow any air. Idk what the hell im doing wrong. But I'm tired of it

Idling in low rpms damages the vehicle and lowers you coolant temperature.
