I hope everyone is paying attention to this channel and the work Trent is doing. We used to pay for that kind of videos, and he gives it for free, just like that. Thank you Trent!

One of the many things I admire about art is how it can start off as just a few grey shapes and then magically transform into something as amazing as this. Amazing work!

Having put a lot of work into character art I’m recently looking more at scenery, backgrounds and perspective, and honestly the feeling of going back to square one in terms of skill level is really daunting… So this is a super helpful resource for me!

I've done rendered a ton after watching this, lol. 😅 I always appreciate seeing the process because even if your work leans more on the stylized look, everything can be applied to anything I've done and will do. well as there are things I didn't even know! Hiky heck, being able to change colors late late in a render... I can't 😂. Hope things are well at Aquatic Moon and Twilight Monk is still killin it!

Would LOVE to see your approach to developing games. Do you sacrifice artistic intent for playability, or do you sacrifice playability to a extent to maintain your ideal artistic theme? Questions like that, etc. Been a fan of your work since stumbling upon a piece on "Creed" in Wizard magazine, WAY back. So, I suppose in essence, it's completely fair to say, "Long-Time Fan", lol.

Thank you for this video! Every time I learn something new. Can I ask? What kind of tablet do you prefer? I mean graphic tablet or tablet with screen on it?

For drawing characters, I like to draw on screen. For just painting materials, I like my tablet.

Great video. Looking at you rendering these lovely rock textures and trees was a pleasure. I am impressed by how simple and beautiful are your clouds. However, these twin trees in the foreground really irritate me.

I am not really into signing art work...Just don't have good signature. It is amazing listening to artist that worked in the art field, that started comics when he was 17. Seem like a talented person, a prodigy...I would like to go more into this, though...Landscapes and such. I am wondering about buying art books or just look at skeletons to understand about atomy...Maybe I should learn more about the Golden ratio?

Hey Trent, I loved the tutorial, and I have a single question. 15:07 when you move the trees to the background without moving the layers or having duplicates, it looks like you did it with a command + click on one of the layers, how did you do that? Is a thing a believed not to be possible in Ps thx for the content :D
@TsubasaAnimations2 жыл бұрын
He makes a selection of the rocks foreground by Ctrl+clicking it's later then erases the tree parts that are within that selection.

Hey Trent, I'd love to hear your thoughts on OpenAI's Dalle2 and how this tool would affect illustrators and digital art in general. 🙏🏻

It’s going to make a lot of people think that they painted something they didn’t, and it’s going to increase the demand for stylized artists who have good storytelling in their designs.

I know that the majority of the footage was sped-up, but around @8:10 I noticed that everything started to chug quite a bit. I was wondering if that was done by you or if the program itself started to chug. I only ask this because I have noticed this on my PC with Photoshop lately. I have a monster-rig too so their should be no slow-down.
@TrentKaniuga2 жыл бұрын
It was intentionally slowed because I had to explain something in the audio along with the visual. You shouldn't have slowdown like that while working. I would burn that computer... or at least do a fresh reinstall.

There are things I didn't understand, why don't you show exactly the colors you are using? in the part on the sky, the color in the middle seems yellow, for the clouds, what would "airbrush" be? Where can I find it? How di you do the "wisps thing 5:58? 11:30 how did you do that? I don't want to seem rude but these things must be explained in a tutorial, they cannot be taken for granted, your are showing a lot of cool things, but you are not explaining them😕
