Yes you can...but you will need more margin compared to selling an out of the money option, also selling in the money option is considered riskier than selling out of the money option

Sir please tell this 🙏 - I bought Titan 3020PE on 3rd July at ₹58 and low IV with 25 days to expiry. STOCK PRICE at that moment was 3038, I was expecting a down breakout, it happened too. Price fell to 3026 but Option Premium only moved from from 58 to 60. WHY DOES A SHARP FALL IN STOCK PRICE NOT CHANGE/RAISE PE PREMIUM BY MUCH, even when Theta is low, IV remained on higher side and Delta was about 0.5. I've faced this multiple times, could you please explain. May be others also may have the same doubt and it might help them too. Please 🙏

It didn't move much because your strike was still OTM..For a big change in premium your stock price need to move to ATM and ITM

It depends on many things...like how close your strike price is to the spot price....how far the expiry date is...how big the lot size is...all these things will determine your exposure margin and span margin which will inturn determine how much margin your broker will block
