Texas Instruments (TI) has unveiled a new portfolio of signal isolation semiconductors known as opto-emulators (ISOM8710 and ISOM8110). These devices are designed to enhance signal integrity, reduce power consumption, and extend the lifespan of high-voltage industrial and automotive applications. In an exclusive interview with Power Electronics News, Azhar Mohammed, product line manager of isolation at TI, said that opto-emulators represent a significant advancement over traditional optocouplers in the field of high-voltage signal isolation.
