The Lauridsen family owned the yacht named Opus IV during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to travel safely within their bubble. They would fly on their private jets to meet the multi-million dollar yacht in exotic locations. This yacht was registered offshore through a shell company to avoid paying American taxes. Opus IV was purchased in the USA, serviced in the USA, and spent about half of its time in the USA. Not a single tax dollar was paid to the USA.
