In the description of the clip: "Rockers are the antithesis and the nemesis of the fastidiously groomed Mods". These so-called 21st Century Rockers are exactly the same as Mods in terms of being "fastidiously groomed". Attention to their hair, covering their leather jackets in all the regulation patches, badges, and studs. Today's Cafe Racer scene is all about fashion, as the Mod scene was/is. The only difference between the two tribes is choice of ride, and music.

@conanhayle Just spoke to my olf chap, and two uncles (friends during 50's and 6o's) who were first Ton Up Boys in the 50's and Rockers in the 60's, and later still, greasers in the late 60's early 70's. None of them have heard of the spelling you use (Caffee Racer) and all agree they only ever used Cafe Racer, but did admit there was a lot of puplic school boys on bikes who may have used the term, but not amongst the working class.

Why are Mods always trying to insult or offend us? you Mods dont seem to realise one of the main reasons we did'nt (or in the case of immature idiots) dont get on is because Mods were heavily in to drug culture initially, and Rockers were not, hence all the fighting, I wouldnt dream of randomly beating the shit out of some bloke in the street because he was wearing a parka and suit, because this is no longer the 50's.

What a stupid statement, that's like me saying Beethoven started jazz, lots of bands around the world started the genre that would become rock n roll or punk rock, there were lots of pub bands that were going from the very earl 70's that could be called the start of Punk ie T Rex, New York Dolls, Patti smith, Richard Hell, The Stranglers etc it was lots of bands not just one ! It's like me saying American's copied heavy metal, totally silly !
