Oracle APEX - How To Add a Button to a Classic Report

Hi everyone, welcome to my channel! My name is Magaly, I'm an Oracle APEX Developer, passionate about JavaScript, CSS, and of course Oracle APEX!
In this tutorial, I walk you through how to add a custom button to a Classic Report. In our use case, we will be adding a delete button and functionality.

Thank's for this tutorial Magaly. I followed the steps but I had to change the DML true action , because if you want add some apex_error.add_error for instance, this does not work good. I added a submit page true action and I executed the DML in a process.

This was very helpful, as I was struggling to follow blog articles on the same topic. Suggestion (from a senior with old eyes) - it was very hard to see the text against the black background; for example, it took me a long time to see the "=" in the Code Editor for the HTML Expression of the button at 6:48 in the video.

Hi, as always, thank you so much sharing your expertise, I learned a lot from your strategies. Anyway, I'd like to get your advice on a scenario in which the "New Entry" button is ENABLED only when the interactive report is empty or null after clicking the search, and DISABLED when the interactive report contains some record(s). Using dynamic action, I have disabled the "New Entry" button on page load. However, I'm having difficulty carrying out the actions that follow. Any assistance is highly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hi,I want to show the icon in the link column only when the task status column value is completed.other wise i want to display task status column value in the link column as(On Hold or In Progress)

Can you create a video tutorial on how to set up a total column in an interactive grid? I have a grid with debit and credit columns for a GL voucher, and I want the total column to display the sum of the debit and credit columns, updating automatically when either column is changed.

Me acabo de encontrar tu video Magaly buscando la manera de generar botones que permitan seleccionar datos a apartir de una tabla. Aun no lo encuentro la manera, pero con este video me da opciones para del desarrollo de un sistema que estoy comezando. Duda: Donde puedo consegur material a este nivel de detalle o como donde puedo aprender mucho mas de Apex, pues realemente no hay manual para todo lo que se puede programar con Apex. When you right clicked on columns, there's no option to create virtual column I tried it for both interactive grid and interactive report. Version 22.2.1 Can you please help?

Hi, you can add a new column in your query (example, select ‘ ’ as html_column) and add the HTML Expression in the Column Formatting attribute, hope that helps!
