Hi Again. I am posting questions as I follow your instructions. Apologize for the multiple comments. So under computer management > Local users and groups > Groups I see a bunch of ORA and Oracle groups. Shouldn't I delete those too?

Hi Manish, i was trying to do step 3, I have only one drive c drive, i cannot see oracle directory there to delete. however i followed the other steps and did everything u said. but two things I see, there are still some oracle directories existing in c:\app\Admin\oradata etc I see my databases which I installed in the c:\app\Admin\product etc. should i delete them also. and also in step 7 there are some oracle files existing in GROUPS, howerve I have deleted in USERS as u said in the tutorial

Hi Again, I've tried to delete the oracle home directory, but the folder access denied window pops up. I've clicked cancel and tried deleting again. But I get the same thing. Is there anything I should do? I am the administrator on my computer, I'm not sure which administrators account it is referring to. Is there an account that I need to disable? If so where is it? I only have my account and guest account. Please help.

+Bui Sol In case this helps any one else, I ended finding the solution to this issue. Now I don't know if it is best practices, but what you can do is right click on the folder, go to properties > security > advanced > owner > and there you can change the owner. In my case it was a built in administrators group. So I changed the owner to my user account. After that I was able to delete the folder.

That's a great video (also it's great You add subtitles - it make a lot easier to understand everything, no offence, I'm just not so good in understanding English from hearing) but... I stuck at step 3... I deleted majority if files but "cwallet.sso" and "ewalet" still remains. I check registries and I have no Oeacle registries left, I tried restart computer a few times, deletind single files, or folders from different levels (Oracle->admin->oracle->xdb_wallet) but still nothing. All the time I get firstly mesage that i need administrator permissions, I can go further clicking continue, but then I get acces denied and messafe i need permissions to perform that action. I try to use "try again" option or just cencel it and manually try again... but still nothing... I have some errors installing Oracle and now I want to delete and reinstall it... but I'm afraid it can can work properly if I wouldn't delete everything...

Ok i finally find some solution. After login on Linux (I have dual boot on my computer) I could easily remove Oracle folder. But I found out now... that I don't have "Local Users and Groups" in System tools - all others is like in that video, but without this...

I had an issue where almost all the oracle were easily deleted but the cwallet.sso and ewallet files were still there and I tried to delete them several times but Windows kept stopping me and saying I need the administrator's permissions. I then went all over the internet and tried this hack and it worked. But do be careful when using it since it allows anyone to access your login details of Oracle when you first installed Oracle but if you don't care about that then go ahead XD. So I right clicked on each of the two files and selected "properties". Selected "security" and unlike most applications, it didn't easily let me change the permissions. So if it says to click "advanced" options or something, click it. Then somewhere on the window if it says you can change permissions or security, click that and if a "Select Users or Groups" box appears. Select "Advanced". Click on "Find Now" and double-click on 'Everyone' in the search result. This allows anyone to change the permissions on that file. Now keep click "Ok" and the "apply" buttons until all the dialog boxes are closed. Again open the "properties" box and security tab of that same file. Select "Edit" > "Add" > "Advanced" > "Find Now" > double-click on "Everyone" on the search results. Now keep clicking "Ok" and "apply" buttons and when you reach the "Permissions for Progress" Dialog box, select "Everyone" in 'Group or user names'. And 'tick' the box 'Full Control' in 'Permissions for SYSTEM'. Click on "Apply" and "Ok" buttons until all the dialog boxes are closed. I then deleted the file and it worked successfully.
