Hi sir I am facing this issue..... create table customer ( cust_id number(8), cust_name varchar2(50), mobile_no number(10), dob date, city varchar2(25) ) Error report - ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1 ORA-00942: table or view does not exist 00604. 00000 - "error occurred at recursive SQL level %s" *Cause: An error occurred while processing a recursive SQL statement (a statement applying to internal dictionary tables). *Action: If the situation described in the next error on the stack can be corrected, do so; otherwise contact Oracle Support.

There is no error in the create table statement. Try to run this particular statement alone create table customer ( cust_id number(8), cust_name varchar2(50), mobile_no number(10), dob date, city varchar2(25) );

Please watch my Oracle installation video, You can able to understand and install the software. SQL developer is just an app and it will not have any DB, You have to install Oracle DB before SQL developer.
