Tournaments allow flicking because to most tourney players its considered a mechanic to them. Blight is actually one of the top killers for Tournaments. 3rd most used behind nurse and spirit. XenoDBD from oracle is one of the best of the tournament blight. Check his twitch he actually scrims with his blight at times.

The problem is that they can't ban Spirit and Nurse because then killer is essentially unplayable in tournament because of how badly the game is survivor sided at top level. Look at the stats; Nurse and Spirit barely managed a 50% kill rate in this tournament, Hag averaged a bit higher but was only played in a few games, PH averaged around 40%, and every other killer would have done far worse. Right now Spirit, Nurse, Hag and Blight would likely be the only killers viable in tourney play because even with the most aggressive balancing possible (2 perk copies per team, Object banned, limited items/add-ons) the killer is still at a pretty bad disadvantage if they can't play an S tier.

That doesn't apply in matchmaking because players of unequal skill are routinely paired together due to how terrible the emblem system is at actually reflecting skill, but in theory if all players were tournament-level and all survivors ran Dead Hard, DS, Unbreakable and BT the stats would favor survivors at the very least up until the S tiers.

Unforunately the killers you see are the only ones who can perform at this level. The rest arn't even worth considering because of how survivor sided the game is at that level. Its only "balanced" in Ranked because survivors arn't always teaming up.

Possible rules to spice future tournaments up: Teams have to pick multiple killers and can use each only once; then people see more variety and more strats from it. Also teams can try to build an early lead or save a killer to clutch in case they lack behind.

I wish there was a rule that gave teams a cap to how many times they can use the same killer. Watching spirit and nurse back to back is dull. Still overall amazing game plays. But I feel like I'm watch a horror movie series and keep replaying the first movie. When I play for fun almost everyone I know is like NOED is the newbie perk. Its hilarious in competition it seems like it's a no Brain choice, you can't play without. Ironic. It be great to have that killer cap on for teams per tournament. It would make a good variety. In finals the cap should be gone but only one game per killer till the end. Make every game different. Id like to see these pros forced to use killers that aren't made to end chases in a flash. Push themselves and leave more room open to other teammates getting to play as the killer.

healing isn’t always better. healing can be undone immediately by the killer, but generators can’t be undone once they’re completed. they don’t gain points for healing either, so if it doesn’t increase longevity for the team, there’s no point. :)

Not really a competitive game. On the high end only 3 MAYBE 4 killers are playable and realistically your probably only going to see 2 majority of the time. The game needs substantial bug fixes/balancing for it to ever be considered competitive on the high end. The issue though is the general foundation of the game makes it really difficult to make the high end equal without making killers busted on the low end.

Sadly bugfixing brings no financial income, only new content does. That is the sad fact why bugfixing seems to have rarely a high priority in developer-teams. This is the sad disease of the whole videogame-industry :/ Progammers are a valuable resource and bugfixing seems to felt as resource-wasting. Only new content brings money in. Even in _world of warships_ there is something similar to the kill your friends lobby, named the _training room_ . It is also bugged, unstable and bad programmed since a very long time. But the developers even say, that they will not take in action about it because it is barely used :( But i am sure this counts for many more games.

That last game is why I hate it when we do all the distant gens, or vice versa. This was all setup, because the Nurse used Corrupt Intervention to perfection. I always thought that if all 4 survivors could just stealth it out, instead of rushing to the other gens, it would be the best play against corrupt intervention. Because the killer will just cycle through the other 4 gens, guaranteeing an early down. IMO you just hide where the corrupt gen is, because you know the killer won't go there and you just waste the perk. But this only works if the entire team is in on it.
