7:00 Try using a spreadsheet like Visicalc or Lotus 1-2-3 today. Or something like SC, a "modern" terminal-based copy. You'll realise that although spreadsheets were very powerful tools in those days, they were not user friendly at all. So even though they existed, it made sense to write your own BASIC programs for almost anything because those custom-built programs were MUCH easier to use than a spreadsheet.
