I personally feel that we should use only topical one although the results of oral is quit impressive but it is just like that you were taking a hypertension medication instead of hair growth treatment and it may affect your body functioning in long term and sever side effects of this can be heart failure although the chances are quite less but as in long term potessium channel opner have bad effects on heart and kidney and This for those whose body is become resistant to particular formulation you may try microneedling before minoxidil the benefit of that is that it provide better absorption and also better penetration . This is the stage that I was talking about in the video as well.. the stage of resistance.. this is where some docs recommend a higher concentration of topical minoxidil or start prescribing oral minoxidil either with the 5% or as a standalone. My recommendation would be to avoid increasing the concentration to 10% and also to avoid oral minoxidil. Rather start dermarolling once a week (use 1 or 1.5mm with great safety and sterilization) along with daily application of minoxidil as usual, plus scalp massages daily. This will enhance the absorption of the same dosage...
