I made this cake today and it was delicious. However, it had a dense egg/custard like internal consistency after baking instead of being airy. Any idea why? Did I whisk the batter too much?

In other olive oil cakes they ask to whip the eggs to soft peaks and combine it the cake batter and that’s how it has that fluff affect

What is vanilla powder yeast is it like baking powder or is it like yeast?

Beata Balkos just looked it up. it is in fact just baking powder with added vanilla flavour. so for one sachet of that yeast you can use 1 teaspoon of baking powder and a but of vanilla extract.
