Great to have the slow motion images as a beginner golfer I can understand easier 😊

The "after" picture with the correct technique seems to end up being a much flatter swing--Is this a lesson we should draw from this analysis or is it not necessarily always the case that the swing ends up flatter?

Hey Chuck, what do you think of the "Whippy Tempomaster"? I have the 7 iron and driver and if the effect is the same I'll just work on using those... thx!

Hi, very good video. I’m 6.2 and generally good with woods, not so good with irons. Which length should I get? Many thanks

I recommend you get your G Force Trainer instead since you can actually hit balls with it and it's cheaper: www.rotaryswing.com/golf-lessons-blog/product/gforce-7-iron-and-wedge/

hah suck it every trainer i've ever had in golf, who said lag was a bad thing! :D
@MrGrease4208 жыл бұрын
Well of course he had lag with the whip. Why wouldn't you show him after with a club

Will show in an upcoming video but the results are the same with a club or course. The movements are the same from the body so the results are the same with the club

He'd have the same lag swinging with the left arm only even with just a regular club. The difficult part is getting even close to these positions while hitting a ball.

I appreciate the video, but take the ball away and the club away and people do tend to swing better. Let's see him with a ball on the ground. If his swing looks anything at all like the orange whip video then you'll win the Nobel Prize for golf and we'll all send you $100! ;-)

When you have bad swing habits, if you simply try to break them, direct focus on the bad habits tend to reinforce them. What you want to do is develop new habits that over time that become dominant while the old habits recede. The ball and the club represent strong psychological stimuli which make it very difficult to develop a new habit, so using a tool like the Orange Whip introduces enough "strangeness" to allow the new swing habit to develop. Then, once the new habit starts to take hold, it can be transferred from the Orange Whip back to the club. The final step in this process is to then reintroduce the ball and work on swinging the club just like you swung the Orange Whip while allowing the ball to get in the way. And by the way, Chuck has an excellent swing.

Bad analogy. Recent history shows you don't have to do anything to get a Nobel Prize.

Well he has one of the best and smoothest swings of any instructor out there. I have seen it first hand. I’ve used the OW and it is really a great training aid. The only thing obviously lacking is the club face. However, if you use this only good things will happen and improve your swing.
