Orangeclock :: G2G - A Halo 3 Montage

This is a Halo 3 montage from Orangeclock entitled, "G2G," edited by himself. The quality's a bit poor, but you can still tell what's going on in the video (and that's all that matters, right?). Aside from the quality, this montage is just amazing. It's jam packed full of insane social multikills that go all the way up to killionaire. Like all laid back montages, the editing is simple and focuses on basic syncing. This video really reminded me of a Kampy montage, and is overall, one of the greatest montages of 2010 so far. Enjoy!

I'm sticking up for this montage because it reminds me a lot of Apex and I didn't upload Orangeclock's other montage, "Temperature Rising," on my main account, which, in retrospect, I really should have uploaded on my main account.

The thing that this shows is how Orangeclock has a tremendous amount of control. He keeps his shot steady and always knows where his next multikill is going to be - he never seems to freak out, or even miss that much when there's a big multi lined up. On the other hand, it was a rare occasion in this montage when anyone was actually shooting at him. But even still, getting high multikills with the sniper like this isn't easy, even on a negative xp account.

This stuff is amazing. I know about the 1 months and everything, but that makes me appreciate how good a game H3 is. No cheating, no bullcrap exploits. I have gotten into MW2 lately and it is refreshing to see an example of a game that is well designed and maintained. Props to Orangeclock. It would be sick to see a version with no editing though. Mashup style.

Usually, I hate people who make second accounts, or play only social to get amazing clips for a montage. This is one of the few exceptions I make. This is on the same level as Kampy's montages, although Kampy takes the cake, just because of his huge number of clips. Three killionaires? That's amazing, no matter who you're playing. You can tell by his gameplay that he knows more about the spawn system and other mechanics than most people. I commend you, Orangeclock.

This is the second best montage I've ever seen, it kinda remembers me Kampy's APEX, its quite similar, you expect the multi-kill to end, and souddenly he manages to get one more kill. 5*

@hat045 The Str8 Rippin montage featured clips from literally, 4 of the greatest Halo players in the entire world. You cannot honestly expect the same caliber of gameplay from social kids like Orangeclock. On top of that, that montage was entirely MLG gameplay which simply isn't comparable to social gameplay. And on top of that, yes, 1 months are very much a necessary evil for social gameplay. Montage kids are super competitive so the bar for social footage is constantly skyrocketing.

stuff like this is definitely a breath of fresh air from all the extreme try hard MLG montages. Many of these clips were obviously comparable to Kampy, and it was probably better than his 4th but i dunno if anything can surpass apex...

@DexterousGamer You know, that's exactly what I thought when it came to social gameplay: that montage kids just got "lucky" with all the kids being in the right place at the right time. But after making a good amount of 1 months myself and getting more Invincibles in social than killtaculars, I realized that there's something more to it. Even though the kids in social on 1 months are god awful, with the souped up AR, increased beatdown damage, and grenade spamming, huge multis aren't easy.

@darkcanvas The majority of "legit" montages are MLG montages, which I also enjoy and of course, require a lesser multikill in order to be par. However, for social clips, it's really hard to discern the skill level of the other players since most people just assume the other players are terrible. This montage is an exception because the players were so, so obviously terrible, but in most social montages, the players get killed too quickly to deduce anything about them.

@itsDBLOCKaight It's actually harder than it looks. The kids in this montage were god awful, but getting huge multikills is actually pretty tricky on second accounts. Going like +50 every game and getting sprees is a breeze but: 1) Possible multikill situations rarely arise because your opponents are almost always scattered across the map, making them hard to string together in a multikill and 2) Maintaining your steady aim and calm is hard when there's like 5 kids rushing you.

4:39 just shows how bad the kids are. First the kid teabags the plasma. Then the 2nd kid walks over to the skull stops and looks down at his controller to figure out how to pick the skull up. Nice.

Seriously, to all the people hating on this montage here's an idea. If you don't like it, instead of making stupid comments about how bad the player/people he's killing/music in this montage is, stop the video and go and watch something else. I'm sure FBWalshyFTW has a video on his channel that you'll enjoy (he has a large number of 100% MLG montages with more generic music if you didn't know) and leave the comments of this video for those of us that enjoy it/ offer CONSTRUCTIVE criticism Thanks

i agree with everyone whos says just because a montage has a bunch of social clips doesnt mean the guy is less skilled, you get the same level in both, except its easier to kill people in mlg because damage is increased, except this has a ton of custom games in it, which does take away the skill alot

@Va1em With just one account, that "more time" would literally be an eternity because it's essentially impossible to get multikills of this magnitude against good kids. Sticking to one account pretty much limits you to making MLG montages because even in social, a true skill system is implemented. Also, trust me, the stuff in this montage is harder than it looks. I've played on a good amount of 1 months myself.

I actually REALLY enjoyed this tage. It may be social like all you people are complaining nonstop about, but speaking from experience I really respect orangeclock for this montage. You don't just make a one month, go into social and get these kinds of clips every game. It honestly does take skill too get these clips and anyone who thinks otherwise is just stupid.
