Wordle (TIGER, BADGE ADAGE) and Strands were super easy today. I even found the Spangram first in this case. Connections I struggled! I got the yellow category right away though (I am not familiar with Usher the artist so I didn't fall for the four singers). PYRAMID HUSTLE CON RACKET : Means to separate you from your money. One away! Next I guessed STING WASHINGTON SEAL and PRINCE for people who commonly go by one name, but that was a STUPID guess because from my first guess that was one away, I knew STING had to belong to the schemes. My Aha moment was the symbols on the US Dollar bill, so that allowed me to solve the Green category. Too bad the symbols on a US dollar bill wasn't the green category though. As for the purple category (default solve), Today is Canada Day (July 1st) so I should have gotten that. It's Prince Edward Island, British Columbia North West Territories and Nova Scotia. All this time I thought it was North West Territories, but a quick Google reveals that it indeed is Northwest Territories. The most embarrassing part? I am in fact, Canadian (born in Ottawa). Just haven't lived there in a while. Fun fact: I remember in 3rd grade, the teacher said Ottawa is the capital of Canada. I'm looking at this enormous map of Canada and I'm saying to myself "This huge country and we happen to be in the Capital of it all? What are the odds?"

Well, that was custom-built puzzle for me :-) As a Percussion Teacher, I own all of those, and solved it in record time!

FICUS LATER AWAKE AGAVE ADAGE I did get the Canada reference; when I saw "Northwest" I did think of the Northwest Territories and the rest fell into place. Strands was easy.
