This game made me so happy as a kid. I did so much on it throughout the years. I made everything from the dumbest machines that would make brainrot look normal to complex inventions to weapons of mass destruction that could delete everything in that level. But even after it's been shut off, I still revisit the games. Because even if the servers have been killed, that creativity still thrives. And I believe that many of the players who created on this game will go on to create many things beyond it. LBP may have died, but its legacy will live on.

I remember, as a kid, I'd spend my days after school logging onto my ps3 and playing LBP2 with my friends, and my cousin. I remember playing games like Jeff the killer, angry whale survival, colour bomb survival and hard?, messing about on our moons making levels or just having fun with the community made objects we'd get. Over 10 years later and I keep finding myself thinking back to those times, and I cherish those memories and the game so much. Thank you, LBP, for everything.

every now and then, i listen to the soundtrack for little big planet. and i remember that so many other people had been there at the time i was playing, that is such a crazy universal thought to realize. that so many other people got to experience this childlike wonder, the happiness in our youth. i'll never get over the fact that we were once all little kids, with imaginations as big as little big planet. i'm an adult now and i just can't believe time flies by so fast, i'm close to graduating. i wish i could just turn back the clock and experience this game again because it really did bring so much light into my life. i'm sad that out of everything from my childhood, LBP was the biggest one that had to go.

An outstanding magnificent piece of art was forged by Media Molecule, perhaps without awareness of it's effect on the many players whom encountered it. It was able to make us feel something, as we were a part of a phenomenon vastly superior to many other things to exist. As if our imaginations combined together actually made a difference.

Little Big Planet was the game form of Heaven all the days I was down I would play this, playing so many different community levels making me feel better and when the servers went down I felt a part of me just break away. Thank you LBP for everything

damn. half of my childhood- hell, half my damn *LIFE* is just gone. in a matter of seconds, days, weeks- its all just a forgotten memory. i can only live to tell the tale of this game, and how it impacted me in life. i wish this generation would be able to experience the wonder, and creativity of this game that i got to enjoy. the sad part is that they’ll probably never experience it. our only hope is custom servers- and even *then* they’re still probably gonna be taken down in a couple years by a DMCA or just overall shutdown. i wish this game was still alive and blooming like it once was- but it probably never will be. i just have to accept that. its over.

I was barely in school when lbp1 released, and some time in the next year I might start college. These games were a part of why I am creative, seeing them disappear slowly over the last year hurt. I wish I revisited my favorite levels before I couldn't.

The LBP community is quite possibly the most non-toxic community I've personally been a part of. I remember being six, begging my older brother to buy LBP2 as soon as I saw it on the PS3 store (lol no regrets). I didn't even know what the game was, and I loved it as soon as I found out there was a create mode. My brother still thought it was a dumb kids' game (bro's a FF7 fan, he said that about Minecraft too until he played it). I tried to introduce him to the game via the story mode, but he just wasn't into it. Right now, I'm still working on an LBP3 project to this day, just to see him find some enjoyment in the game. My point is, if you still have a copy of any of the games, you can still "play, create, share, and above all, have fun" like the Narrator says. Share the game with someone else, have them play a level or two. The community of this game can't die if it's still growing. (Sorry for the giant goofy ahh monologue, I'm a Kingdom Hearts fan-)

i turn 14 this year, in 13 days lbp2 will be 14. in 10 months and 22 days lbp1 will be 17. in 11 months and 13 days lbp3 will be 11. sad to think this is the first year without lbp3 entirely and the third year without the servers running at all on ps3. one of the first memories i ever made was me and my dad playing lbp2.

sackboy has shaped and formed so many people, been so many peoples childhoods, been something that people can turn to and always know there will be something new..a game that needed a cominity to even be possible..and a community was formed around this game shortly after it was relased..the sad part now is..that it is an exclusive..sony owns it...MM cant do anything with a game that means so much to everyone..and all we can do is hope and dream that a new game will be made, by the same people who made the first two games...the same people who actually care for this game. the people who build a community of positivity and creativity... this song, this slowed down version of the main theme people think about when they think of LPB..this slowed version captures every single good moment that has happened on this game, every single positive spark and light...it is a shame that sony is replacing sackboy with a dumb robot...the thing that annoys me the most is the official LPB twitter posted something about the two being best friends...and honestly..they sony needs to prove that this is true but sadly due to everything that has happened we will most likley never see another LPB game the same way 1+2 have been like. i am unable to help but start to actually tear up knowing the two paths this game will take...either the way of pikmin 4..years with no responce from any developer before everything it ret-conned and rewrote and forced to change...or LPB will have it's fate stay on the path it is right now..a game loved by millions forgotten by a greed-fueled company that does not care for the community no matter how many faces and masks they put on in total..this song is the essence of childhood slipping away and feeling like a distant memory that we are so desperate to recreate but unable to..

Man… what the fuck did Sony do to this game? Thousands of unique and amazing levels that took hours, days or months for people to create. I played this game for hours as a kid and it’s shaped who I am today. Do I have hopes that there will be a fourth installment? No, but all amazing things start with a blank canvas and I do hope to make a game just like little big planet someday.
