I just found this while searching for a solution for storing my sand paper. Currently its being kept in any one of six locations around my garage and always inconvenient to try and find. This solution will be perfect as it will finally have a proper home to live in and I'll be able to see if I'm running short of any grit before I find out by seeing an empty packing container. Thank you for the idea.

Nice work. I have the same sander on order and I’ll be building something like what you showed. Have you thought about adding a cutout on the trays to make it easier to grab the sandpaper? I’ve seen it on some videos. I live in British Columbia, Canada. Thanks for sharing your build.
@LTDWoodworks9 ай бұрын
On mine I have actually found it easy to just grab the shelf and slide it out to then grab the paper. That sander is now my “number 2” sander as I finally got around to buying a Festool sander. So now I will have to build a new holder for both of them maybe. But first I need to get set up in my new shop. Video will come soon for that. Thanks for watching!👍

Wouldn't it be easier to make a semi-circle on the front of each shelf so that it would be easier to remove a sheet of the sandpaper? Just wondering why you didn't do that. TIA
@LTDWoodworks Жыл бұрын
That is definitely a option. I find it just as easy to pull the shelf out though. If the dados holding the shelves were tighter, then yes the semicircle cut out would be needed. Mine are just right to easily slide out. Thanks for watching 👍

Hello, just looking for clarification on a couple of items. On the second page of your plans where I believe it shows the shelf inserts, I cannot read the numbers/writing on both sides as they are cut out. Can you tell what it says? Also, what is the point of the semi-circle 2” wide on the 5-3/4 piece? Lastly, on page 5 (Top & Bottom pieces) what is the centre point of that 3/4” Dado? It sea,s as though one side is bigger than the other?
@LTDWoodworks3 жыл бұрын
@@mikecardinal7706 well shoot. Sorry about that. When I get home I will make some changes and re upload the plans making sure everything is readable for ya. I’ll let you know when it’s ready 👍 For now the half circle is just so it would be a bit easier to grab the stack of sand paper. I actually did not cut that out on my shelves and have had no problem grabbing and sand paper. So basically that cut is optional.
