This video was really good! All the classes are broken down and explained concisely, which is not what I usually see when people make videos about this game. I'm not sure if it's the same in reborn, I haven't played the game yet, but I remember Runemages could learn how to preform spells from other players, though the spell wouldn't be saved in your book.

Thanks! I aim to be as concise as possible. You're right in that Runemages do not necessarily have to find rune pillars to be able to cast spells: as long as the player knows the symbol, like from a wiki or being taught by another player, they can cast the spell. Finding the pillar just allows the player to save the symbol in their journal. If I'm able to, I might go back in and edit that fact in.

just got an oculus and the moment I found out there was an mmo, I had to try it. They jsut released the demo at the perfect time for me as well and the steam sale had it on sale soo. I bought it after about an hr of gameplay. Love it, still learning but I do understand it has the dungeons, world pvp, world bosses... etc etc. Stuff that almost all themepark mmo's I have played has. Can't wait to see where it goes from here. EDIT: Thanks, for the info on the shaman and holding your palm out. LMAO I have slanted ceilings so throwing it like a baseball was some times painful.

im a max level runemage and i still cry thinking about what it took to get to that point. It takes a LOT of practice and patience, but can be rewarding with high damage and versatility, i would not reccomend starting it as you first class (like i did) but if you want to there is not really any negatives.

For muskateer you forgot to mention that shooting your turret with lifewell will cause it to revive a player. The bard's instrument is as far as I remember is actually a marimba but that is just a trivia fact.

Hmm, it really depends on a lot of factors. For example, while warrior is a bit complicated because of the combo system, if you really want melee/swing-based combat, that's the one to go for. Also, the game allows you to easily switch classes, so feel free to experiment at the start with all of them. Having said that, probably the easiest one to start out with is the musketeer, or maybe the ranger. Musketeer is just shooting which works well and is simple, and they are versatile as you can switch to using damage bullets or healing bullets to fill in as a DPS or Healer in group play.

I have a tough time picking a class, but most of the time I'm a Warrior (lovin' that tank life). I enjoy Musketeer and Ranger if I feel like doing some healing and DPSing for a change though. Hoping to level them all up over time!

Thank you, wanted to love paladin but throwing the hammer is odd to me and only doing dmg with charges makes it feel slow. Think I'll try shaman or musketeer next. Bard looks fun but doubt it'll be solo friendly.

Paladin gets a bit better when it is in combat, as you're getting charges not only from holding your hammer up every few seconds, but from being hit. Between that and juggling books, there's less downtime than you might initially think. Still, it can suck to run out of charges and be left standing there waiting. Bard definitely feels a bit detached and awkward to solo with, as you're just playing music while monsters whack you. If you are interested in bard for eventual party play, however, you can always do quests as another class, but then turn in the quest as a bard to level it up. EDIT: Whoops, look like they patched it so that you can only turn in missions as the class that started it! Argh!

I'm pretty sure in 2019 the game was slightly different than today, 2022. Well, I'm working on leveling up my Paladin now so I have a Tank option in dungeons. It is really great! That's true, it only deals decent damage if the hammer is charged. But you know what? In dungeons you're not there to deal damage, so this class is quite awesome for protecting the other DPS players. If you're playing solo-Paladin, avoid overusing your charges on just whacking the foe's head. Use the librams' buffs and you'll see much better results

a melee dps would block the range dps and leave less openings, along with being caught up in high damage attacks that tanks were made to receive. its possible as any people are asking but based on the game mechanics it wont work out too well.

Hmm, difficult to say as it's still being added to by the developers. For example, tomorrow they are adding their first 10-man raid as well as new quests and such, so while I would complain about there being no challenging content and story quests, they seem to be addressing that already, haha. So far my forays in dungeons have been fun: they usually involve hallways of mob packs with different compositions (like a healer in the back you should focus first) and two bosses, who usually all have some manner of fun mechanic, being dodging bullet-hell patterns, dragging the boss under traps, turning yourself to dodge a medusa gaze, etc. You can technically 'solo' them by using the queue system which always seemed fast for me, so don't worry about getting a super group to do them. I'll make a dungeon guide soon since it's my primary mode of play. Solo is fine as well: you gain exp through a lot of solo stuff, which can be stuff from doing public events (which you can drop in on solo without forming a group), kill quests (go kill # of a mob), fishing, scavenging, hunting critters, dragon races, etc. Some classes will probably have an easier time soloing than others; for example, usually tanks can handle more mobs at once (but they also hit weaker, leading to longer fights). The only complaint I have at the moment is that there isn't really any big grandiose story missions with cool puzzles or whatever, but they seem to be addressing that.

The warrior is built around using a shield along with their sword since you have abilities tied to it and your hud displayed on it, so yeah, no real way to use just a sword unless you like playing on super hard mode haha

I’m new to this game 2021 February oculus quest 2 ...any advice for me on which class I should start out as for an easier experience?

ask anyone with a level higher than 15 for help, and they will gladly spend hours with you explaining anything you want or need them to. as for class, DPS classes (scoundrel and archer) deal good damage with simple mechanics (they still require skill to make full use of though). these are good for learning the game. if you go a tank or healer, everyone will love you and you will have no problem joining parties, but it can get slow leveling it up. just choose what is he most fun for you i reccomend trying a bunch of classes out at the start!

mage looks weak. it takes so long to do the spells and they look like they do they same damage as the skills that the other classes just have to click once

well yes and no. if you practice some players can spam 4-6 fireballs a second (yes for real i have witnessed it) i can probably fire off three frost 2's a second and around 2 fireball 2's a second. It deals high damage (high level around 20,000 damage per hit, which can roast low level enemies very fast. some spells have shortcuts that make them take less strokes to cast (though it takes a while to get good at speedcasting).
