This was the 3:30pm showing of Orca Encounter, the current killer whale show at SeaWorld Orlando, taken summer of 2022! Despite missing the Hunt, I thought this show was pretty neat, especially the finale. It's almost like they busted out the stops for the bigger crowd that shows up at the 3:30 shows! See below for highlights:

5:08 - Husbandry Demo and Play/Volunteer segment with Makaio and Trua, starting with Makaio and Trua's pod swim
- 6:07 Makaio's fluke present, demonstrating a voluntary blood draw layout
-7:50 Trua and Makaio slideout and lift their tails, demonstrating how the whales weigh themselves
-9:39 Makaio's double pec wave with volunteers them sighting bow
-10:38 Trua's side breach!
13:00 - Finale with Trua and Makaio, starting with Trua and Makaio's fluke fling at the slideout
- 14:52 Makaio's front flip! His is so good!

Do you know why some shows sometimes include "the hunting/splash" segment and some don't?

It'll simply depend on how much the animal training and/or entertainment team decides to do that show. Luckily, I was able to see that segment when I visited last month. While there has been no official word on why, animal behavior management and show attendance may affect their decisions.

I'm gonna go with TRON Light Cycle Run, Rise of the Resistance, Expedition Everest, Cosmic Rewind, and Indiana Jones Adventure. My favorite nighttime spectacular is Magic Kingdom's Happily Ever After. What are your favorites?

Thank you for sharing, we were there recently but our view was blocked by people in front of us holding tablets over their head nearly the entire time.

I went a few months before you (March 26), and they still had the tail fluke on the stage, I have been wondering when they are supposed to get the new fluke.

I'm not sure if they intend to replace the tail fluke at all. The screen is newer and was pretty much hiding the old and faded tail fluke that used to be there.

@@Echobeluga True, because the old tail was really faded and old, it makes sense because of San Diego, but I still don’t know.
