Been a powermetalhead for about 20 years now, and let us be honest; it's not the epic Power years of the 90s anymore, there is alot of garbage in this genre these days. BUT it's awesome to hear that bands like Orden Ogan makes PowerMetal exiting again. Accept did it, Helloween did it, Blind Guardian did it, Running Wild did it, Gamma Ray, Edguy, Freedom Call.. the list goes on and on.. And now you - Orden Ogan - keep the flame of german Power Metal alive! This album will prove that, i'm sure. ;) Cheers from a Norwegian powermetal viking

Surprised you only mentioned bands from Germany like that bands from other parts of Europe cannot be compared because they aren't Power Metallish enough. Don't take it the wrong I love bands from Germany and agreed they have made some very nice Power Metal artists arise from the shadows.

RocknRoller Real power metal died out in the early 00s after bands like Hammerfall made it popular again. Euro power metal just equated to flower metal and they took what Blind Guardian did lyrically to the worst extremes.

Sounds like you just haven't found the right bands to me. Personally I like some of the new relatively new power metal bands, like Falconer, Dream Evil, Sabaton, Orden Ogan, Powerwolf, Týr and a few of Alestorms tracks. Cheers from a (newbie) Danish powermetal viking.

I've compared Orden Ogan to Sabaton a few times before. Mostly the fact they only have a few unique songs and most of the rest are just the same song with slightly different lyrics. They're both the sorts of bands you'd think are awesome if you only heard the best of what they've done, but if you try listening to the full discography all the way through, it gets boring as hell before you're even halfway done.
