whaoo, I really enjoyed your video especially when the band performed the national anthem. To tell the truth I love all the moments of the royal events in particular the national anthem is interpreted divinely. That's why i will download it and keep it for my own plesure. The Queen would be so proud. The organisation, the uniforms, the getting ready. Look at the Trooping of the Colour, horses to get ready, they must get up so early for these magnificent traditions that we all love to see. Proud to be British. Not a boot wrong, polished and looking so grand. And these uniforms would have been handed down over the years, kept crisp and clean. And the beautiful bear skins. They tried synthetic ones but they were just awful. Nothing like the real thing. Well done as usual. I think they all need a holiday soon, it’s been a very busy year. ❤

It's so much easier for the Royal Family to live in Windsor for security reasons. Plus, it's less expensive for the soldiers in official dress marching around. Windsor has become a mini theme park with the Royal Family living in and around Windsor castle.

What makes this ceremony so meaningful and singular is that it is steeped in history and tradition. Nothing fickle in there. I think it is in keeping with history and tradition that what makes the British grounded in their humanity by giving value to the initiations and contributions of the past. One has to value honor.

Our summers have now got to hot for guardsmen to wear those uniforms. Either dates should be should be moved forward or back or lighter weight uniforms worn. Same goes for sentry duty in the summer. And it must be very uncomfortable for King Charles, he's not young anymore.

The Ceremony of the Order of the Garter is a wonderful occasion during which a large group of octogenarians, attired in fancy dress, totter down to a church to pray to a god in which few of them believe. Long may it continue if it makes them happy.
