Cari is such a great host! I'm learning French on Easy French and I happened upon Easy German and gave it a go. I lived in Germany as a college student in Heidelberg, but did not pursue the language upon returning to the States. Now I have 4 kids and 3 grandkids and am enjoying relearning German. Cari's bright spirit and sense of humour are irresistable! I will now have to include Germany in my upcoming travel plans.

I love these kind of videos. May I give you guys a suggestion: what if you guys make shorts that include 2 parts: a short dialogue spoken slowly, and then the same thing spoken at normal speed, to see the difference between both versions and to familiarize ourselves with how German spoken at normal speed works.

The vegan duck is a very traditional dish in Hong Kong. We usually have this dish in traditional Chinese vegetaian restaurant or in the canteen of the Buddhism temple! It is bascially a deep fried bean curd sheet which had been rolled and stack up to become this shape. I grew up with this amazing dish! WE also got vegan roast goose in Hong Kong but it is a snack, rather than a dish!

My wife and I hope to travel next year and part of this trip will be in German speaking areas. I hope to learn some German, Italian and French. I am exposing myself to German first and using every moment to learn as I am a first time beginner. I am getting to understand some and not yet speaking it back, but the more I watch these clips the more smiles I get as I learn. Danke. I do a little bit of everything to learn and have given myself 3 months for each language...just enough to understand and get by. When we are back from our trip then I will keep learning...hopefully. I live on an island in the South Pacific called Norfolk Island...not many people here that speak another language...so these clips are so helpful. Danke, danke danke.

Lecker! I've lived and traveled in Asia but not Vietnam. In the US, Asian restaurants serve an Americanized version of their foods. It's not what their own people eat. My guess is these places serve a Germanized version for you all. Everything ordered looks delicious. Suggestion for a future slow German episode: giving and receiving directions and discussing opening/closing times.

Als ihr beide bei 0:13 anfingt, "langsam zu gehen", war das so lustig. 😅 Erstaunliches Video, und so lehrreich. Ich finde es wirklich toll, wie viel Mühe ihr euch gebt, den Leuten etwas über die deutsche Kultur beizubringen. Ich habe solche Videos in der Vergangenheit schon oft gesehen, wenn es um die japanische Kultur ging, also bin ich mehr als froh, dass die deutsche Kultur genauso behandelt wird.
