Ahh Lumity! Our favorite sapphic relationship. If only was that easy for Luz to find out if acting as an ordinary person is actually essential for being in young love... Or maybe... She could just act as herself...? That's what makes people human! Insecurity is complicated...
After 3 weeks of working I finally managed to finish my biggest project yet! Thank you to my friends who managed to keep me sane (and well, for those who took care of my sleep HAHAHA!!), love you all.
I've been REALLY into The Owl House, so you should definitely stick around for more of that content (OC animations are still going to be a thing too!).
And believe it or not, these are my first drawings of those characters, so the style is still gonna be adjusted later on.
Lots of hidden stuff here! Symbolisms here, secrets there, let's see if you can find those! They are my favorite part, definitely! Some of the animatic also has a few of my own experiences, so it's kind of a mixture between Luz and myself.

I really love how you capture the fact that Luz was and has never been fully loving of herself. that even though see seems like she's doing fine, she really is alone. And she feels those sad feelings that comes with being excluded, from feeling estranged from the world. I don't see that every often when I watch TOH Animatics. You, SunNekoChan, represented the part of Luz we don't see very often. and you really hit the nail on the head! She wasn't all doom and gloom, because that's just not Luz. But! you showed that side, and little monster in her head, that tells her: "What is it she sees in this cluster clump of me?" and "What's the point of falling when I know I'm only stalling? I am not autistic but i often dont feel like i dont fit in and even my friends often say i am weird or boring or too loud or somehting, but last year i met some people (one or two years younger than me) and i was never before more myself than in this week. They said they liked me and said i am weird, but in a nice way. Since I met them i know, there are people who could maybe understand me or are like me and when i finally find them i will be the person i am, without doing things i only do, because I try to be someone they may respect. So I am sure if you search long enough you will find the best friends you will ever have💛

This is such a beautiful rendition of this song! I especially like the part around the middle where she's just venting to King. That was a great way to do that part of the lyrics. Oh yes, yes, YES!! This was amazing, and you did a wonderful job. The song fits Luz so, so, so well and you captured all the reasons why in a beautiful way! I think the comment by Some Snails said it best, by explaining that you did manage to truly represent a side of Luz we don't really see explored often but is there. Visual-wise, well there's much I can gush on about that, but in short, it looked absolutely stunning and really put into perspective how Luz is as a character and how the song in general portrayed that. I love that towards the end, everything is suddenly in color and more vibrant as see the people Luz has made connections with pass by, and see certain moments that played out in the show be highlighted in a gorgeous sequence. I think it shows how far she's come in growing as an individual and shows how her struggles and relationships have grown and evolved so much. The part where she was going through and destroying the trees featuring her masking, and her insecurities really stood out to me, and was a powerful moment that was well done too!! On a final note, I can't believe that it's your first time drawing these characters, you did great work. Keep up what you're doing, it's looking amazing, remember to take care of yourself in the meantime, and that you're awesome and matter!!
