1: Hey, that's MY room! I was in 222 on Deck 5. 2: Didn't you notice all of the windows on the ship are synchronized? When the bridge goes into hyperdrive, every window shows that. 3: Business idea: produce the PB&J rolls. 4: My dining table was about where yours was. Didn't bother me that much. 5: Can you use translator on Datapad to read all the signs? Mine worked on Oga's sign as you enter. I didn't try other signs. 6: It was so hot on Batuu, I wish there had been AC or misters in transport area. Lastly, how many people do you think are behind the scenes? There have to be staff to cue actors, send out comms, monitor where people are. I would guess 10.

Another great Starcruiser video! One extra little easter egg (or continuity), if you look at the little ship that is outside flying up to and down from the Starcruiser, you see those in Bridge Training as well.. That Sandro was the character I spent the most time talking to onboard (on this same journey, so I had that exact one!) He was great.

As a kid, I learned “1313” was a reference for Disneyland’s original address of 1313 S Harbor Blvd, which was inspired by the 13th letter of the alphabet (1313 = MM = Mickey Mouse). Oddly enough, I learned that on the Universal Studios Hollywood Tour in the 90s since you were able to see the house of The Munsters at 1313 Mockingbird Lane.

I’m sure it’s not a coincidence. George Lucas and other Star Wars creators have always based things in this galaxy off of things from our world. I’m not sure who created it as it first appeared in a Star Wars role playing game in the 1980s so we’ll never know.

This was enjoyable to watch, and I've watched maybe 12 hours of video on the Halcyon. I am amazed at how extensive the experience is and appreciative of your coverage. One quick question. Do they do Photopass in the Halcyon, and is the 1/2 hour session additional to the cost for the pass?

They do have a photopass photographer in the lobby but the photo isn’t honestly that great. I would highly recommend the additional cost of the 1/2 hour session

We were on the Mar 1-3 cruise and had Photopass and NEVER even saw the Photopass photographer :( I would also highly recommend the 1/2 hour session!!!

We got one PhotoPass picture in the atrium and then they also took some during the "Outer Rim Regalia" on the first night. Someone told me that there was also a PhotoPass person on the bridge, but I never saw them. Unless they add more PhotoPass photographers, I'm not sure it's worth paying extra for that. I think you really have to be looking for them. The 1/2 hour photoshoot was definitely worth it though. They were very efficient and got a lot of great shots in that limited time.

Just completed our journey today! Retained a lot of information from this video so thank you for all the tips. Like you I’m sure you had mixed feelings. There’s definitely a lot of room for improvement and although it was a great experience, I don’t think it was worth the cost.

Oh really? You’re honestly the first person I’ve talked to who has gone who didn’t think it was worth it. We honestly loved it despite having issues with a few things (which we noted in the series of videos) but we are hoping to go back next year, that’s how much we liked it. @@OrdinaryAdventures I hope they rethink the check-in time and change to 11 or 12. We got there about 30 min early and there were a lot of people already waiting to get in. Once we finally made it thru it was past 1 and I felt like our day was kind of wasted at that point. Had our lunch and when we had dinner we were still full from the later lunch. We also were thinking that our car would be parked in a safe parking structure safe from the Florida weather but it was to our disappointment that it was just parked outside. The food was just ok for us as well. I wish they would of asked how we like our “steak” cooked during dinner because it was basically raw. I agree that the Batuu excursion could of been worked better into the storyline and with the amount of money we paid we were hoping to have lightening lane access to other rides in the park. I understand that they don’t want you to wander off but at least offer that as an extra cost if guests are interested. I did love the room. I thought they did an amazing job making us feel like we were in space.

Oh wow we loved loved loved the food. We also saw friends with allergies and stuff ask and they were very accommodating in altering dishes to their needs but yeah you shouldn’t have gotten rare steak. Did you complain? Did they do anything? Oh that sucks about checkin. Both times we went we got in fairly quickly. The problem with the checkin is they couldn’t do it earlier as people are checking out the morning you are checking in and the housekeeping team needs to have time to turnover all 100 rooms and the rest of the cleaning staff needs time to clean the public areas (the lobby, the dining room from breakfast…etc). I do think there is a huge bottleneck in getting in there however and they will need to fix that.

The food the next day did seem to improve. We did love all the fish dishes. One of our datapad was malfunctioning on batuu and we mentioned it to one of the blue shirts, not to complain but just to tell them it was happening. And that night at dinner our server was like, a round of drinks is on the guest service team, anything you want because we heard you had trouble on batuu. It was kinda cool, we didn’t expect anything from it.

Earlier the better. The story doesn’t really start until a half hour or hour before the muster but there is a ton of stuff you can do before then. try to get the earliest checkin possible

My advice would be not to plan a path. To go with no story plans or expectations and to let those experience and interactions guide your way. It’s more fun that way.

The dinner show is the big performance but if you’ve seen our other videos than you know the story kinda unfolds over the course of the journey all around you leading to a big action set piece at the end

@@OrdinaryAdventures I love dining, the food doesn't seem that inspired, except for the names. The alcoholic drinks have some flair, but is there a dining venue that is high end? For Star War super fans, the experience might be worth the money, but... there seems to be a lot of expense in the costuming and merch needed to make the fantasy fantastic.

Since you can not turn those lights off around the window. IT would be cool to bring some black tape if possible or something and cover them up. Then you could keep the window open while you sleep.

I couldn’t figure out what the large symbol is, nor could I figure out what the first 2 symbols in the small print. But I was able to translate the next 6 characters. This is what it translates to “Tyrena”. ( it wood be nice if there was an Aurebesh keyboard for the iOS. Just saying )

I hope to go to the galactic StarCruiser in the near future/sometime in 2022. It looks like so much fun to experience as a whole. Even tho I live in NorCal, I wonder if the prices to get into the Halcyon will drop in any possible way along with other changes. Any thoughts/speculations about Star Wars Galactic StarCruiser’s paid focus group talks happening soon? I may be a casual Star Wars movie/live action fan, but I’m curious what you two think of all that. If the price ends up getting lowered, I may go twice. Any ordinary adventures theme songs you got from SW: GS?

They do surveys and paid focus groups all the time. Don’t listen to clickbait news sources it’s typical business for Disney. Every single voyage has sold out so far and it’s sold out almost until the end of summer. I would bet money it will sell out every single room for the first whole year of service. It’s considered a huge success. Disney is always looking to improve things or remove things that people don’t like (cut costs).
