Hi! I'm in the process of giving ore and I have heard some horror stories regarding life after ore that it took people years to even find VT (vocational training) and some of the people didn't even score one. Recently hearing it all has really let me down and starting to doubt if I should even give ore at all. What's the point of doing all this hard work and putting in so much money if I eventually end up unemployed anyway. Could you tell me if it is true that VT is really hard to score and if giving ore is worth it or not? I'd be really glad if you could help me with this

+U.K. Tuber I did also hear these stories. Getting into VTE is definitely not easy . It is one of the toughest hurdles to clear. But it's not impossible. All my friends have managed to score one be it a matter of 4-5 months to maybe more than a year. You've to see if you can afford to wait that long after ORE exams. I know it is a tough choice to make.

Dentalpractice101 ah Thank you! I have been feeling quite down lately because of that but that means eventually everyone does get vt, I don't mind even waiting a year as long as I know I will eventually get vt and then a job as a dentist. I was worried what after all the struggle, I never get vt and end up unemployed anyway. This really lifted my spirit! Thank you!

+U.K. Tuber also, many a times, to get into VTE in the mentioned time frame you may also have to make another tough decision to move to a different location in the UK compared to your dream location.

If I finish ORE can I work in the private sector while a wait for the VT application to open? And can I work in the private sector until I find a place for the VT? Thank you!
@Dentalpractice1017 жыл бұрын
+A yes you can. As long as you are registered with GDC you have no restrictions on doing private work.

Dentalpractice101 That's great! Because I would love to work with the NHS but at the same time I know it'll be a while before the VT application opens I have to wait until August 2019!) So it's good to know I'll be able to work in the private sector until then. Thank you!

Hi dear..I have completed my BDS from in India and I'm looking forward to pursui my MPH degree from UK.My main aim is to clear ORE exams.Since, PSW is introduced now , will I be able to get enough time to clear the exam nd do all those procedures within the expiry time of my Visa, if everything is going in a right way.
@Dentalpractice1014 жыл бұрын
Hi Anumol, you'll need to keep at least 1 to 1.5 years for exams. If you are able to fit it in your visa time period you should be able to do it. What is PSW by the way?
@dranumoljames22894 жыл бұрын
@@Dentalpractice101 PSW is the post study work visa after a Masters in the UK which will become valid for Sept 2020 intake batches.After one year course, two yr stay back is provided for the students
