Hey Matteo! I ordered the V4 and the Big Boy. Very excited for these two brewers! Skipped buying everything else for now (maybe grab it for Christmas 🎁).

You did a good choice. I've tried the V4 two months ago. It's a very clever concept. Since I tried they made a small change in design so that's why I didn't post anything yet. Soon I will :)

Amazing! Yes the V4 is very interesting. I already have time to try it a couple of months ago, they did a little change of the design, so soon I'll test the last upgrade.

I prefer the mk2 or the open. The big boy is very slow in comparison. Don't use it that often as the two others can brew 30g just fine :)

@@Eirikkinserdal I see. Any other insights between them? Most of the time I will be making 2 cups for myself. Occasionally I’ll be making 4-6 cups (very infrequent).

Mk2 never chokes up because of the ridges . But hold off until the v4 comes. I think v4 "large" base will be the perfect middle ground between v3 and big boy 👌

After seeing this i asked my self, does the old model have BPA in it,? asked OREA about it and they confirmed that the black version V3 MK1 does have BPA, guys stop using it for yous health...

For clarity for anyone confused - the matte black V3 MK1 does contain BPA, the clear and frosted ones do not. The new MK2 is BPA free. You're extremely unlikely to experience any negative effects using the black MK1, these things are mostly population scale effects, but you should be aware of it.

a little bit of patience, unfortunately I'm not able to brew coffee for physical reason. when I'll be able I will finally make that video

I use a V3 every once in a while, although recently I mostly brew espresso. I don't think the V3 mk2 is worth upgrading to if you already have the 'mk1', The glass dripper looks very nice, and is a bit of a different brewer compared to the V3(mk1/mk2). If I were brewing for more people, then the big boy would definitely be a good option, it looks really good and well engineered.

Yes the glass, gives a different type of brew, very interesting. The big boy is a very well done brewer.

Hi matteo! Very informative video, thank you! Since you have tried them all, what do you think about their ability to brew a small batch? I really want to buy an Orea but I can't brew more than 9g or the caffeine is too much for me. With the V60 it's hard, but possible, can I do it with one of the Orea too?

Thanks for the comment. everything in possible. The problem of 9g is that you don't have enough bed depth. I brewing suggestion I can do it is to apply small pours over the coffee, every time waiting that the previous water you applied completely drained. Orea speaking, V3MKS and glass brewer can work for you. Big boy definitely nope.

Good info..thank you. I recently discovered the Orea brewers and was about to buy the latest V3 but then I read about the upcoming V4 on their website and figure its best to wait until you have a review on the V4 ! Any idea on when your review might be available ? Thanks !

Hi. I've already tried the V4 in July but since then they have change slightly the design so I need to get the updated version e make the video. I can already tell you that it's a clever idea from Orea and that this will be the future for drippers.

Great video Matteo! I really like them all! I wish you could help me with an issue I'm having with my 3 cups moka pot :( I bought a very good specialty coffee grinded for moka pot (finer that what I'm used to). It takes more than 10 min to come out from the moka at low heat and it starts sputtering almos right away... What can I do? I have an electric stove. Thank you in advance 💜

Hi. Thanks for the comment. For what I understand maybe the coffee is ground too fine. With specialty coffee also if they are roasted a bit lighter they make more resistance with the water. What I can suggest is to distribute well the coffee but not tap to pack the ground in the basket. So maybe the water can pass easily through the coffee. Also keep the stove at low heat. Let me know how it goes.
