While Ohio State my team I grew up with . Is really looking good . Mind you both teams they played they should have dismantled them moved to the NW and became a Duck 32 years ago. Wonder how Chip will be received in Eugene in Oct . Fans are usually pretty classy

I’m not worried. I think Duck fans that don’t understand this team…they are worried, but I understand that Oregon is saving its big play bullets for Ohio State, and not for the 5 teams that are only a challenge, if you play a vanilla game plan. Ohio State is the biggest game in regular season history, and it will be a program changing win on the recruiting trail, catapulting Oregon ahead of every BIG10 team for several years…so that’s why it’s obvious they’re going vanilla to save stuff, so the buckeyes aren’t prepared for what Oregon wants to do. Those big plays were there against Idaho, and Boise State…but they only used them when they had too.. since they know they’re just more talented than everyone they play until week 7. No one will care if they play close games if they beat the buckeyes, and Lanning knows that!

Oregon State fan and alum here. I am biased but I still see Oregon winning this Saturday. As soon as Oregon State released their schedule many months ago, I predicted their only loss being to Oregon. That predictions still stands. I believe they beat everyone on their regular season schedule, except for Oregon. That includes Washington State, Cal, Purdue, and last but not least, Boise State. I also do believe that an 11-1 season for Oregon State lands them in spot in the 12-team CFB playoffs. My prediction for the game is Oregon winning 28-21. I’ll be in Corvallis for the game

Can the Pac still qualify for a playoff spot this season, with only two teams?

@@ramspencer5492 they wouldn’t qualify for an automatic bid because there is not a conference championship with the Pac-12, but the at large birds are based on other factors such as record, difficulty of opponents, ranking, and more. If Oregon State goes 11-1 this season with their only loss against #9 Oregon, I think they should be in that discussion for one of the large bid. And I hope they get it. Unfortunately even if they were the best in the Pac-12, they cannot get an automatic bid to the 12 team playoff

Interesting choice by you: as I did not really get to see much of the Beavers. Boise State's running back did nothing all that special, because the holes he was going through was like Moses parting the Red Sea there. I as do not see Oregon's greatness. I have not seen Oregon State, because I have not been able to find a full game of theirs this year. I have seen clips of the Idaho State game. But I see a lot of Oregon online, no matter. Idaho State cannot be all that worse than Idaho, though their game last year was like 63-21. You guys' smacked Idaho State also. Idaho is a good team at 9-4, last year. Idaho lost to Weber State by 2. UW waxed Weber State. I do not know what I am saying. I usually always root for the Beavers. Because Oregon fans are delusional of themselves as usually. As never really admitting to losing when they lose. UW, we got smoked for 12 years by Oregon. I as watched every game and took each one on the chin, whether losing by one point or 200 points. It stunk. Oregon is a bunch of collaborative crybabies. I watched Rian Winter, Max Torres, and all the rest of them, just whine and whine and never taking the loss on their chin. I really hope you knock them one.

I just don't think they can fix this. I watched guys on the Oregon offensive line getting BLOWN UP and beaten by the Boise defensive linemen. How is it that MULTIPLE offensive line men are instantly beaten or on their ass when the ball is snapped?? WTF?? You could have had Oregon line up with only a center and be unable to tell the difference. It defies common sense, yet, it's there for all to see. This team is going NOWHERE. They're in danger of not even making a bowl game.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but the left tackle shouldn't be on his back side at the snap (multiple times!!). #55 Shouldn't be completely whiffing --not even hindering the defender--and beaten inside. Jordan James shouldn't be taking a handoff and instantly be staring at two defenders unabated in the backfield. That was Boise St...??! I'd say it takes some crack rocks to think that o-line is going to magically be better against the teams in the Big10. :\

@@nickfleming4757 And it's not *just* that. Will Stein needs to adjust for the lack of protection. Quicker routes (slants, inside screens to RB's, etc) to give Gabriel chance. I can't imagine the defensive backs from Boise were man handling the receivers, but you couldn't tell otherwise.

Oregon fans better hope that Oregon was holding something back in these last two games, here as otherwise you are right. I am a UW fan and am OK with my team, being the fact there is no real here expectations for them. So, if the UW ends up with a winning record, the UW wins either way. Oregon sets itself up in a way where you cannot succeed. I mean the team was picked third in the nation and was said by many to win the Big Ten and get to the CFP. After you guys' lost Bo, Brandon Dorles, Troy Franklin, and others. And they were not replaced at all. Oregon is not a good of a team as last year. I said it at the beginning of the year, when everyone was picking Oregon. I do not hate Oregon. But old Oregon sets itself up for all the junk when they set themselves up as being as the greatest thing here going.

I think Oregon wakes up mentally for this game. Great, talented teams that are mentally lazy turn it on for games that matter and play down to comp in games they think should be easy. I think Oregon goes full throtle on this one and wins by at least 28 points.

In terms of the peacock coverage. Did anyone else notice that the “technical” difficulties seemed to happen when Oregon got the ball back? Oregon takes over and the screen starts blipping 🤷‍♂️

From what I could tell Oregon had the ball for 10 possessions. They scored on 8 possessions and ran the half out on one and the game out on the other. No punts. No sacks, no fumbles lost, no interceptions thrown. There were very few penalties and no one was seriously hurt (the most important stat). Lastly, no one tossed out for targeting so everyone who played today should be ready to go for the next game.

Oregon State has a good run game. They will run on Oregon. Oregon's offense is the key. They can score on the Beaver's slightly above average defense....Unless, penalties and bad line play.

Agreed....This team just needs more time to acclimate to some big team leadership changes.... I think they'll be a much better team later on, and i hope they stay undefeated while they get to that point. They Ohio State game isn't really a just win.... Though i would love them to get up to speed and win that game.... Being a at their peak team in November with a record that gets them a playoff spot.... And a change to make a deep run or even win a natty.... That's even Oregon needs to shine

Oregon hasn't had a blowout loss in Autzen since 2017 when we lost to Washington St. It would more than merely shift the expectations of the fan base (that work is well underway) if we continue to play like this up to the Ohio St. game a blowout loss in Autzen would enrage the fans.

It's difficult for me not to notice what Cam Ward is doing for the Hurricanes in Miami. Strong, right-handed qb in command of the offense, and completing passes down field. Gabriel looks average, and short, at best.

I don't have a ton of faith at this point. Pancho has snapping issues still and the other dude doesn't block very well. I think the rest of the issues are fixable, but Pancho has had these issues his entire career, and idk if the other dude can learn to block over a couple of weeks. I just don't think the center play is fixable in such short order, I'm not even sure it's fixable at all. What do you think, Spencer? I haven't noticed people discussing the center play specifically.

Glass half full…..the tough wins will pay off down the road if the offense can get it figured out…..historically Oregon teams don’t win these close ones. Also history is repeating itself., The penalties were a big problem early last year too. It did get better. Win the game, zero sacks, no turnovers, cut the penalties in half and I’ll feel better about this team.

If you drop the preseason propaganda, and just look at things where they are, the Ducks are a pretty big underdog to win the Big 10, much less the championship. Not impossible, and they have talent to get better as the season goes along, but hard to see an elite offense emerging from this unit. Im hoping for a consistently good offense eventually but most likely will swing wildly from game to game. I do see the defense as a top 10 unit rest of season.

The starting right guard got injured ten days before the season. The starting center bumped over to guard. We started a walk on at center the last two games. The second half had one bad snap when they finally put the injured player back in at guard and put the original starting center back in. And that one bad snap came when the starting center was rotated out of the game for a breather.
