Dang, so even with the unusually wet year, you still had to set water caches??

I did not cache any water myself. ONDA has volunteers who place 2 caches for hikers which were definitely very helpful.

@@arnoschuster4392 did you contact them about that? Or did they reach out to you?

You contact them through their website and they will send you the GPX waypoint for the caches. Make sure you read the comments/description on the file. One of the caches was almost impossible to find even with the Waypoint. They also have a sign up list for hikers on their website that helps them keep track of number of hikers and helps you connect with others if you wish.

Warum hast du dir diesen trail ausgesucht?

Aus unterschiedlichen Gründen: Ich lebe in Bend, Oregon wo der Trail startet. Mit 750 Meilen/1.200km hatte er für meine derzeitige Lebenssituation die perfekte Länge, den PCT hier in der Nähe bin ich 2016 schon gewandert. Der ODT ist einer der am wenigsten bekannten Trails in den USA und kaum jemand wandert ihn. Ich wollte eine Herausforderung und hab die mit dem ODT definitiv gefunden.
