I just came across your channel. I'm from Oregon and ride Winchester bay dunes and Florence dunes all the time. I found the dead end hill climb to. I guess it used to go all the way through my buddy was telling me.

Need to drop the air pressure half to three quarters a pound in those paddles. Then go find the trails that you can only back down.

I’ve been riding a banshee for 20 years. You guys need to grab at least 3 gear them bucks will pull it. Very nice banshees

That's crazy how all that sand is so high. Red bike sounds well tuned. But the gray bike suspension wise is pretty much like my 2006.

The dunes in oregon were pretty tall... in our newest video we ride the idaho dunes, they are absolutely massive there. I'm surprised the Grey banshee even ran in oregon, we had some 340 mains in it, sooo rich.

Were you guys running spark arrestor’s on banshee in Oregon I have power core 2 and I’m heading there this summer and was wondering if you got hassled at all about them

No we didn't run any and didn't have any issues. We were also there the week before the American long weekend so there was basically nobody there. Our truck got checked for parking payment daily though

What's the engine setups in each banshee? Both bikes sound good 👍

Thanks! Grey banshee is a ported 350. Cpi pipes, stock reeds, modded airbox, lockup clutch, cool head with 17cc domes, stock carbs running 340 mains for sea level. Currently torn apart waiting on parts for a 421 serval build with 36mm lectrons. Red banshee is an athena 370 kit. Stock carbs running 330 mains, toomey t5 pipes, aftermarket airbox with dual filters, stock reeds, stock clutch and transmission.

@@RedlineRollers thank you for all the details! I've always been told you need a minimum of a 4mm stock cylinder setup to run any real sand. Looks like you guys didn't have too much of a problem with the stock stroke bikes besides that ridiculous 180 hill climb, however I'm not sure more power would have helped in that scenario.

@noinstaphil Oh ya the stock stroke / bore banshees do pretty good in the sand. As long as we stayed on the throttle and kept the revs up, if we didn't they would bog hard and we usually couldnt clutch it back up into the power band. I was also told we wouldn't be able to get around with sand star tires, that we needed scat traks, and that was totally not true.

@@RedlineRollers defying the odds, that's what I like to hear! Thanks for the confidence and inspiration to make a dune trip. It's good to know I won't need to build a whole new banshee just to do that!

If you quit goosing it the whole time from the start, you’ll have better luck. Continuous goosing stops your forward progress and it’s annoying AF
