Clearly Oregon should be favored and the reasons are simple. 1. Oregon is 100% healthy unlike the Buckeyes who lost two olinemen. Unlike the first matchup they get Jordan Burch back to amplify that defensive line. 2. Oregon is dominant in all three phases. They're certainly the more balanced offensive team. 3. Need I say we beat 3 playoff teams already (Boise State, Ohio State & Penn State). But that said, I love seeing qualified teams be disrespected. It wakes a sleeping giant

@@ItzMeNike Those aren’t simple. Ohio States Offensive line hasn’t had the drop off outside of one game. Even Oregon had early bad O-line play with their starters even. Ohio State throttled 3 playoff teams in Penn State, Indiana and Tennessee. Their defense has vastly improved since their last meeting and it’s a neutral site. Ohio State was favored by 3.5 in Eugene so that doesn’t always mean anything. But those reasons all have counter reasons.

I was in the stands for the Tennessee game and Ohio State fed off of enormous home crowd energy and fighting for Day's career. Neither of those will be factors in Pasadena. Ducks fans knew they were going so have the huge advantage of crowd. The recency bias of the Tennessee game suddenly erased the recency bias of the Michigan game. In reality I expect to see an Ohio State well between those two performances.

As an Oregon fan, I understand. Oregon really hasn’t done much in their program’s history. We’ve only been recognized nationally for only 15 years, more like a Cinderella football program rather than a nationally touted blue blood. The flash, the innovation, the fact we’re a west coast program, we’re considered non traditional, it is what it is. Growing up watching Oregon and just winning the PAC-10 was a huge deal, I never thought about a national title for years… it seemed like a pipe dream, it still feels like that to this day.

Favorite Christmas movie has to be “a Christmas story” the innocence of childhood is so good in that movie. I think Oregon stays undefeated and shows why they’re the number one team in all college football in the Rose Bowl. Oregon by three against a very tough Ohio State team.

We can't get the job done, we lose to Stanford, Or Utah, or Washington twice, or to the Voodoo magic Sun Devils. But this team. This team is DIFFERENT from all of these previous iterations. Oregon of old absolutely would have lost to Wisconsin and Boise. That's just our luck and it's just how we have always been. Ohio State changed their defensive philosophy after they lost to Oregon. They used to sit back and not blitz and do a bend a lot but don't break kind of approach. Well after that game, they changed to a high pressure blitzing defense.

Vegas places odds not based on what they think will happen, but how they think people will bet. You are right about recency bias, but don't discount that OSU lead for a good part of the game AT Eugene, and this one is more of a neutral site game. I still think this is the Duck's game to lose (more rested, closer to home, did actually win the first meeting), but I can see why Vegas laid the odds where they did (Bigger fan base, recency bias, belief that OSU should have won the first meeting)
