I rewatched the Oregon vs OSU and Penn State games and I know the same thing happened in the BSU game. Oregon did a great job clogging up the middle on defense but the RB would bounce it outside and no one was there than they would run for 10-40 yards against us. Several of these games wouldn't have been so close if we had this covered as this also forced the Safeties to move up which allowed them to get beat over the top, Hope we figured this out during this break

The defense is the reason I believe this team is best 🦆 team ever none of our other teams have had elite defense just guys here and there and all offense and shiny uniforms… this defense clamps on command when it matters most.. if the D was bad 13-0 wouldn’t be reality.. every great team wins ugly and 🦆 have monsters in trenches

Bassa needs to make some tackles, and not disappear in this game. Go Ducks 🦆🌹🏆

O Live is reporting that incoming safety Dillon Thieneman was at practice. They couldn't confirm if he was actually practicing. In another article, they wondered if freshman safety Kingston Lopa could see PT. Their biggest concern could be somewhat mitigated if Thieneman is really going to participate and Lopa didn't start seeing PT until AFTER the OSU game (I think).

Wait Thieneman could play even after just transfer to us?

No he can not

@@LockedOnOregonDucks Thanks, when I read that on O-Live, it confused me. Totally makes sense.

Not too concerned about the defense if Oregon doesn't put up points threatening in the red zone we will not win this game

I will like to see Florence, Lupa and Laulea help in the secondary this game to add a level of height and length if they can't contain Smith early on. Savage is a good run safety. Johnson is their cover safety and he has played ok in big games. My biggest concern is going to be BASSA and Boetcher on passing routes out of the backfield. We saw Penn State get back in the game by attacking BASA coverage skills. Ohio State is going to do the same. Devon is our best cover backer. Bassa gets cooked. Jacobs is the worst so if we ever see BASA and JACOBS on the field at the same time, Ohio State is going to pass on them and cook them.

This is a poor take. OSU is ranked 42nd in the country on third down (passing down.) If OSU doesn’t out gain Oregon in rushing, and attempts to win in the air, they lose.
@evanh120527 күн бұрын
OSU just had 4 more rushing yards than Tennessee. Four4️⃣. They won 42-17. threw for 473, that’s 213 more than Tennessee had passing. I’m no mathematician but that seems like MAYBE they went out and won through the air. Tf do you mean “poor take” like they have to dominate on the ground to win a playoff game
@elijahwheeler149327 күн бұрын
@ 42nd in the country on 3rd down. Tenn isn’t Oregon. Michigan, stopped the run and won. We’ll do the same. Bookmark it. BAD TAKE BOT.
@evanh120527 күн бұрын
@ I’m an Oregon fan dickhead, Ohio state didn’t attempt to win through the air against Michigan that’s why then went back to it and dominated. Brain dead take, we have to play them through the air we have proven we can stop their run

@@elijahwheeler1493Ohio state learned that their strength is in the passing game and not the run game…Oregon goes into this game with the goal of stopping the run game, they’ll get curb stumped.
@elijahwheeler149326 күн бұрын
@ They “learned.” They threw for over 300 yards against the Ducks, first time out and lost the game. Again, Ohio State, is 42nd in the nation on 3rd down conversion. Football is schematic and Tenns scheme shouldn’t convince you they win by the pass. Dan and Tosh would love to have Will try and beat them with his arm.

This isn't the same Buckeyes. Oregon may not win this one.
