Oregon Spring Panfishing | 5 Species at Freeway Lakes

Spring has finally taken hold, so that means we need to rig up the trusty ultralight and hit the ponds for some Oregon spring panfishing. In today's video, we head to Freeway Lakes (a spot I spent many years fishing, and stopped due to mismanagement of the lake) to find that things have recovered nicely with the change of season, and end up landing 5 different species!

Several years ago I used to catch crappie under the bridges. Nothing but bluegill in there now. I’ve been told the back lake has good fishing.

Got my pb largemouth out of there a couple years ago 6lb. Haven’t had much luck bass fishing there since then.

Only because the water level is up. When it goes down in summer its back to being unfishable at that spot unfortunately. You have to fish the other side during summer...
