As an ISU fan, Kansas looks like a group of players who largely don't understand their roles on offense. All good, talented players, but ones who are unsure of their places. I don't know why this is. It could be because they don't HAVE good roles in the Bill Self system. As for Self, his solution has been to 1) ramp up effort on defense, which we saw the limits of on that night, and 2) get his players to drive to the hoop like maniacs, which sometimes works, but not making free throws really hurts that approach. I think a more fundamental reorganization is necessary.
