Oregon Surf Perch Fishing Club March 30 2024

Went to 35th St in Lincoln City to meet fellow stooge, Nick Armstrong, and fellow club member, Jeff Bugonian, who reached out to see if we could fish together. As usual, my normal result with no fish. Wind was nasty but still great standing in the water and fishing with fellow club members! :) Ran out of batteries with no spares so no normal summary.

That was fun! It was great meeting you and Nick today. No fish, but being on the beach is awesome enough. Can’t try to reach the spider weights.

I very much enjoyed your video as I haven't been to the surf fishing for a week. Some beaches in the Half Moon Bay area of CA drop off very deeply at the shore break. Are most OR beaches relatively gradual to flat for a long distance?

i didn't visit calif beaches much for fishing but oregon has a variety of beaches. but the ones close by to me are mostly shallow. it just depends on the beach.

Most beaches near Santa Cruz are much less steep than the ones near Half Moon Bay. Recently there has been a lot of large barred 👍

@@ronmodafferi8202 Most people seem to be using one of the many brands of 2 inch curly/paddle tail plastic grubs on a carolina rig. Good luck!
